Let's not split hairs. If we're going to talk about "violent crimes" like assault or whatever, we make spike up to maybe 100k. And at that point, blacks are not even disproportionately represented. When it comes to things like aggravated assault, blacks do not win in this category by a long shot.
The often cited statistic is that black people commit 50% of the murders. This is the common "scare" statistical claim. I am just poking holes in that claim.
You really need to go research before starting a thread like this. What a mess.
A small fraction within only 13% of the identifiable population are committing more than ½ the murders and more than 2/3 all violent crimes. Seems obvious. What is blinding you from seeing it.
11k murders in 2014, and if blacks commit 50% of these, that distribution is super low.
Wrong table, you are looking at victims, not offenders. There were 12k murders and 14k murderers.
