There is a reason why Islamic countries are such hell-holes, because social issues are linked to religion, and if you make a case for LGBT rights, Women or Minority rights, it is seen as an attack on Islam. Islamophilic Leftists are strongly in their camp though.
Dont worry. You can push west only to a certain limit until we push back. Europe is making huge changes. Can you imagine someone like Trump ever having a chance before this elections? Or the British voting for Brexit? People are flexible upto a certain limit. We are used to democracy equal rights for a very long time now, so we would never change our ways completely. Only a matter of time before the bubble bursts, like it did for Merkel. Even most liberal europe had to shift from left to right policies & so will we, no matter who gets elected. Salafism is dying down in india, pakistan, bangladesh as well. Mullas used to dominate talk shows in pakistan but they have vanished since the attack on army school 2 yrs back.
Peaceful Muslims and bloodthirsty Jihadis are all part of Islam.
Nothing guarantees the former nor prevents the latter.
Both are “acceptable” to Islam.

What am I afraid of in the Koran? Certainly not anything found in the early Koran of Mecca, since all it says is that I am going to hell, since I am a Kafir. But in Medina the Koran tells me about “fighting in Allah’s cause”, killing Kafirs in jihad. As a Kafir, should I be afraid of jihad? Or is that a phobia?
The Koran says that Allah will terrorize Kafirs. So am I phobic to fear terror? The Koran says that as a Kafir I can be beheaded. I see pictures of Kafirs being beheaded around the world. Should I be afraid or is it phobic to fear beheading?
