She probably hit him harder than he deserved, but he did start it. Maybe a question of degree, he deserved to be hit, but probably not knocked out - but she shouldn't be charged or expelled over it.
The ridicule he'll endure for the rest of his school years for being knocked out by a girl (even a big girl) will hurt far more than the slap did.
His buddies will NEVER let him live this down, for sure.
He may be asking for a safe space once he comes to.
Karma. The situation was handled and it's over. Move on to something that matters. Too bad the boy's parent's didn't raise them better in the first place, but at least he got a lesson as to what is unacceptable behavior.
This video appears to be fake, but assuming it's not, it's completely unlady like and uncivilized and illegal to strike a coed hard enough to knock him out just for a boyish prank.
I still say it's a prank and the joke is on the black girl as much as the guy with "a glass jaw".

You can tell that he wasn't expecting that slap. If he'd braced for it, he would've been OK. But he was just sitting there with her hair in his hand...as if she was just gonna politely ask for it back!
Am I the only one who found this thread a nice respite from all the political threads?
It was like someone opened the Politics and Other Controversies window up and let in the fresh air.
At that poor kids expense, but fresh air nonetheless.
Man, I try to do that from time to time. Geez, how many threads can you make about how libs suck, conservatives suck, I hate social justice warriors, the BLM is the end of America, Muslims are gonna destroy the world, Hillary is a crook, blacks are too dedicated to the Dems, illegals are taking all of our jobs, climate change is a fantasy, political correctness is bad, the cops are never wrong, the cops are never right, there's a war on women, abortion is bad, taxes are evil, and Obama destroyed this country!
An assault charge can ruin your life. And the police are happy to hand them out like candy on halloween. Too many people with rap sheets and can't get jobs over stupid stuff like this. They both should be suspended, but not charged with assault, even though technically, the law may allow it. You have no idea how many people out there have permanent assault charges on their records for stupid stuff. Girlfriend boyfriend arguments etc. Save assault charges for the real deal. The issue is not charging someone to have them learn a lesson, it's that this on your record is a life sentence to poverty.

Yep. It can definitely ruin you for a while. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, it's hard to use sagacity. But it's wise to do so if you're capable.

It would be left up to the parents to press charges, and with both kids in the wrong, they'll probably both decline.
It looks like they're teens in high school anyway, so they could probably have the record expunged or the records sealed, depending on the state.

Some folks never tire of that crap.
It's really ramping up and is likely to get worse...WAY beyond the election, too. Four years of whining no matter who wins.
Some of us should go hang in the Current Events forum. The Good News thread, always the first thread there, is particularly nice. It's like the EpiPen antidote for the stinging hatred you see here.
