The problem with this quote in reference to the United States involvement in slavery is that it conflates Western European bans on slavery with the United States of America which continued slavery long after most other "Western civilization" nations had ended it.

The point is it is Western civilization in its entirety being denigrated by leftist professors. I don't look at fifty years as a long time. Though if you were a slave it would be but when you look at the lengtyh of Western Civilization it aint that long.
France did not abolish slavery in all its colonies until 1899.

Some of my cousins who were born here & visited our country of origin (india) for the first time in their adult life have come back with great love for usa. You can see their sudden transformation into a patriot. Anyone complaining about usa should be sent to a third world country as a boot camp. Majority of people born here havent visited a third world country & there lies your source of ignorance about rest of the world & their cultures. The media here doesnt report any outside news either so the people here think that rest of the world is probably as mature & progressive as the western world. But some cultures are willingly reverting back to stone age.
Same with people in third world countries. They have misconceptions about western civilization because they have never visited or lived here. But they dont have a choice because they are poor & not everyone can afford to visit or migrate so for a lot of them hating the west is 'sour grapes'.

Yes liberalism today is fundamentally anti-America, anti-white and anti-western. The media and education system has been lying and hiding the truth and presenting a liberal narrative for many decades now. It's only got much worse since the 1990s. Liberals realize they have a majority due to years of mass immigration and the brainwashing campaign.
The left won't tell you about the 20 million killed in soviet Russia and also communist china. Or how imperial Japan was no different than the Nazis really. Or that Islam has killed over 200 million. But they can tell you all about how awful white, western America was and is.
I don't think he hates this country so much as he holds it to be of no worth.
