Now wouldn't have it been better to address this woman's problems as opposed to a death, an officer losing his job and perhaps facing charges and the inevitable lawsuit?
Wouldn't it have been better for the suspect to have NOT attacked the police with deadly weapons? Darwin wins again.
Another suicide by cop. Sad, but she wanted it and forced their hand.
What a nasty wicked woman. If she wanted to die she should have done it privately. Imagine how the cops felt who were forced to follow a dated procedure. What right does a person who wants to commit suicide have to drag the cops down to such a degraded level where they are force to harm themselves emotionally and spiritually by killing a human being...no one thinks of the trauma to police officers in these cases..
A .22 Long Rifle at 40gr and 1,000–1,135 ft/s is an unreliable bone penetrator.
You need not penetrate bone to kill.
I still fail to understand why people expect police to be 100% absolutely positive, beyond any doubt that the weapon a suspect is pointing at them is both loaded and adequately lethal to justify shooting a suspect to protect themselves?

Are you trying to argue that firearms are not necessary and that people need only bb guns for self defense?
Are you trying to argue that firearms are not necessary and that people need only bb guns for self defense?
Lol. . ^ a question so stupid you had to ask it three times
Absolutely not. .....I'm arguing that:
1. A BB gun is not a harmless toy.
2. Police should not be expected to make a split second decision about whether a weapon that is being pointed at them is adequately lethal before firing in self defense.
If someone breaks into your home and points a gun at you, how much time are you going to spend looking at the gun to figure out if it's a 22, a 45 or a BB gun before you defend yourself?
Take a split second too long to ponder the lethality of the weapon and you're dead.
So what are you saying? That people who, today, wouldn't even point a gun an LEO will start actually shooting at police if things don't change? That's an even tougher sell, honestly.
Monday morning quarterbacking without all the facts, or indeed, actual misinformation, has become the national pastime.
Indeed. Certainly a sad state of affairs.
