I've noticed Joe Buck wearing a ton of makeup this post-season, and he's not a millennial! Other than that, I can't say I've seen any men in my area (or any other places I've visited lately) wearing makeup.
My dad fits society's definition of "masculinity." He is a Vietnam vet, a hunter, fisherman, cuts wood, carries an ax, can lift heavy things... and if he decided to wear makeup, he'd still be a man. It wouldn't affect a thing about him or his masculinity. In fact, I'd argue that if seeing a man wearing makeup upsets someone, it's because that person has a problem with their own masculinity... not the other way around. People express themselves in ways that might be different from how you or I would do it. But it doesn't make it wrong. Let people do their thing and be okay with it. If it's not hurting anyone else, what's it to anyone else? Ridiculing other people is something most people grow out of in middle school.
An ancient military view that still holds true today: soldiers are created in the homes and culture a nation.
Americans think they are created in boot camp (alone). The only Americans that don't think that are the few (usually white) dedicated men to military warfare in the military, that came from generations of family in the military.

Joe Buck also became addicted to hair plugs, so that doesn't really surprise me.
Maybe men need makeup, wigs, lift shoes and muscle-shaping outfits to compete and meet females extreme looksism demands lol. Females seem to expect men to be better looking than females are despite being designed for robustness not beauty without make up and with short hair, taller in flat shoes, fit looking in frumpy men's clothing and richer despite affirmative action.
Joe is 47. Hardly a millennial. Yute is everthin in ze TV biz. Makeup, tucks, etc is about job longevity, not vanity.
