Exactly, under Hillary the negatives are endless. She wants to regulate and tax everything under the American sun. I think crime and congestion will trend upwards like it has under Obama and the criminals will be placed in your neighborhood. And maybe the most blood boiling thing she'll play favorites and group identity politics constantly. It'll be constant scandal, corruption and lies.

One, I disagree that my fellow posters are brain dead useful idiots. Even the ones I disagree with most make very intelligent posts sometimes. I just think we have very different opinions on how our ship of state should be sailed. I doubt very many people are 'excited' about either candidate. I'm not even sure that many truly even believe that either candidate is 'good'. We gots what we gots, and that's all that we gots.

I also disagree with the Chicken Little 'The Sky Is Falling' gloom n doom stuff. We've survived far worse than turrible candidates and knuckleheads in Washington. We'll be fine. Keep Calm & Breathe, y'all.

How can anyone be enthusiastic? Easy.

As a matter of fact, Republican voters would be extremely enthusiastic if their candidate was gonna win. But he isn't, so now they've switched the narrative (like the OP) to say that both candidates are awful. But they weren't saying that a few months ago. It was Trump this and Trump that.

I'm enthusiastic because we'll have another presidential term without a Repub in the White House, the Senate is probably gonna flip, and the liberal wing of the SCOTUS is gonna be buttressed.

I'm enthusiastic because the Republican Party isn't gonna be rewarded (for once) for treating President Obama so shabbily and disrespectfully over the last eight years.

I'm enthusiastic because this Tea Party crap that the Republican voters embraced, thereby running all moderate influences out of their party, has finally eaten the party from the inside out leaving nothing but a dead elephant carcass.

It's quite easy to be enthused from where I sit.

I'm enthusiastic about Trump. He's the best Republican candidate we had in my time. He's the first time it wasn't an establishment candidate. Does that mean I have to find Trump the most likable? No, Reagan was more likable, even W could be, but that doesn't mean I liked their policies better. It's the policies that matter.

The Democratic party basically became a criminal enterprise the minute Obama announced that he was not going to enforce existing border laws (don't bother to argue, the supreme court ruled against him). They absolutely do want to flood the country with poor people who will vote for socialism, so we can join the club even as Europe is failing.

But Clinton is a criminal amongst criminals. Yes, she should be in jail for scrubbing 33,000 e-mails while under supeona. Yes, there was play for pay. And no, I don't expect her to be indicted with her friends in the white house. If you think that her hsuband and Loretta Lynch were talking about grandchildren, you are fool--full stop.

Again, why argue? Polls consistantly show that 30% or lower believe that she is honest and trustworthy. It is not the rest of us who are stupid, Hillary fans. It is you. The rest of us know that she does not have to play by the same rules as us.

An if you have convinced yourself that she is honest against all evidence, then what of her incompetence? Trump is dead right. My first election was 92. She was sold as the "co-president." They gave her the health care bill, and she wrote such a frightening, Orwellian proposal that she lost congress for ten years, her husband switched sides and became a Republican, and they stuck her in a closet, and only let her out to defend his sexcapades.

Subsequently, they re-discovered her when Daniel Patrick Moynihan wanted to hand walk her into a Senate seat as a carpetbagger. Her own accomplishments in this period, in her own words during the debate, were to help firefighters and children get healthcare. Noble goals--but hardly having her name on a piece of legislation of national consequence. She is a total, complete, and utter failure, who squandered her time in the Senate marking off time to run for president, and perhaps dedicating some post offices.

Next, she made a fool of herslf in a national election, talking in a faux black accent, lying about being shot at, lying about being part of the Irish peace process, and saying that she can get the votes of "hardworking white people." Absolutely disgusting.

She was given the Secretary of State spot as a consolation prize. She lists as her "accomplishments," in her own words, Iraq, Syria, Russia and Libya. That speaks for itself. If you think these are "accomplshments," you simply have no idea what is going on in the world today. Go on REALCLEARPOLITCS and check it out.

Her treatment of women has been delporable, she has taken piles of corporate money, she has backtracked on TTP, she is claiming to support gay marriage when she spent a lifetime against it, she claims that she is agaisnt big incarceration when she helped invent it, calling black people "super predators," HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS WOMEN STANDS FOR?

I spent a lot of time on Clinton, because, to put it bluntly, she is going to win. For his part, we don't need to say a lot about Trump: he is a vile, indecent man who makes the skin of women and sensible men crawl. There is NOTHING presidential about him, and as a lifelong Republican with libertarian leanings, I completely get why people are afraid of him. He is both frightening and sickening.

A pox on both your houses and shame on you.

Republicans, you could have had John Kasich, one of the most qualified men to ever run for the spot, or at least Ted Cruz, who is a slightly less creepy protest vote. Polls showed either of these, as well as Rubio, beating Clinton, Kasich by wide margins. Instead, you picked the one guy who will lose. And this when the party was doing better with Hispanics and Asians in the mid terms. Good job on losing the Supreme Court, and good luck remainng a national party in the future. To hell with you, I am done!

As for Dems, shame on you to. You could have had that nice Bernie Sanders. As a socialist, I do not agree witih a single word he says, and yet it is obvious by his record that he really is the kindly, concerned grandfather figure he portrays himself as. This man might have been my opponet, but never my enemy, as his honesty and his record show through. And by the way, if you think that your party is doing much better, you are simply wrong. You have as much problem winning down ballot, and Sanders is a symptom of the fact that Americans do not trust you or adhere to your principles much more than the Republicans and theirs.

For my part, I think we are finished. I am voting for neither, as I see no choice between arsenic and cyanide. I don't care which wins and destroys things. Nor will I listen to anyone tell me: "you should have voted for..." when things go bad. I think either will destroy or republic in different ways.

Last thought, I am a student of history. I have acutually read all of those dead white guys that most people have heard of but no longer care about. With the increased lawlessness of our politicians, tolerated and even encouraged by the people, I think we are roughly parallel in Roman history to the time of Marius, when he kept winning and serving in illegal consulships, and no one stopped him. The reaction was that Sulla came in and made himself dictator. He stepped down, but the damage was done. Pride in the institutions was finished. The Caesars were right around the corner.

Enjoy your dictator, be he Marius, Sulla, Clinton or Trump. In a republic, people get the government they deserve.

"Republicans, you could have had John Kasich, one of the most qualified men to ever run for the spot,'

Thank you for your PERSONAL opinion.Thankfully , you only get ONE vote.

Kasich had his chance and blew it.

He had the SAME chance all 17 had.

Why is it that people choose to insult everybody else who does NOT agree with them 100%?

Make makes you think you think you are so perfect that ALL of US should follow you?

It is going to hurt a LOT when you fall off that high horse you ride on.

Kashich is a sicko.. Rino. expands welfare, is for Nafta..a true globalist.. did not honor his pledge. Not a man of his word. Has absolutely NO CHARACTER. Saw Kasich in hate mode more than once. Can be very nasty to people. Turned me off completely. He is unhinged with hate.

I don't believe the pounding bias on the image of Trump. They hammer that propaganda for months on end. I don't believe it at all. Trump= He is a truth teller and is so refreshing to hear someone actually not sugar coat their words.. they actually tell us the truth about what is happening in this nation and it is not pretty. Trump can't paint a flowery picture of the bad things that are happening here. Why should he. Trump likes the truth!

We have drugs pouring over the border killing many people. We have money laundering by drug dealers. It is a super thriving business to get kids hooked on heroin from every walk of life.

We have illegals draining our economy. Taking jobs and sending billions and billions of American dollars out of our economy circulating in Mexico.

We have the border patrol telling Trump what is coming over the border daily. They told Trump there are rapists, thugs, drug dealers and gangs bringing in big trouble . So Trump related those facts to us.. big deal! Left calls truth, racism..

You can't be honest and make it sounds pretty when your country is falling apart. We know the rich are getting richer and our middle class is getting the shaft. It will get worse.

Many people are shocked to actually hear a politician tell the negative truth of our nation. They live with rose colored glasses on. Trump actually sees what more negative things can come upon us with more illegals, more muslims coming from the hotbed of terrorism. Trump wants to protect us and actually identifies the problems and of course the left always calls everyone a racist to cover for their lack of protecting Americans .. It is globalism .. not Americanism.

Trump is for the people. Not polished, doesn't dance around our huge problems here. He tells it like it is. And the media of course has to attack and pound their image of a man who is too honest for them calling him unhinged, disgusting etc...etc..

Hillary is the war hawk.. and unhinged. Calling Putin Hitler.. not the thing to do .. Putin today is getting ready for World War III whether you think he is or not. He is upgrading and creating many more sophisticated bunkers underground for his people all over Russia. Putin is spending money outdoing us in many areas , more submarines, more tanks, more nuclear weapons. Our government knows this.

If we are to have World War III it is more likely under Hillary . Putin said, If Hillary is elected, IT IS WAR! A very blunt guy as well.

That deep dark pessimism that so characterizes the right wing.

Yep, the GOP electorate has nominated a narcissistic fool who is headed for a defeat of historic proportions. And a woman, of all things, will occupy the Oval Office.

And each time the right wing suffers a defeat the chorus of whining pessimists increases their volume tenfold.

We can all look forward to the sore loserism of the right entertaining us years into the future.
