Seriously? You don't think this is treating our vets badly?

Maybe Trump has been right all along if this is how Dems and the future Left think.

We treat poor dangerous criminals and illegals terribly who break the law and don't follow police orders but giving vets substandard qualities of life and making them do this is fine.

Yet the Calfornia government is giving free passes and drivers licenses to illegal aliens and never seem to run out of money for welfare for those who don't need it. Sad how veterans are treated in this country.

Forcing soldiers to repay this is horrible but what really irks me is now long ago they got those bonuses. This is a decade ago. If they get it 3 months ago, 6 months ago, then maybe i'd side with the government in that it was an error and they caught it. this is just insane.

And I am one to read my bills and the contracts. Most utilities and companies have clauses in there that if you are overcharged, they'll only reimburse the last 90 days once it is brought to their attention yet there are countless stories out there when the utility finds out you underpaid, they try to get you to pony up years worth of charges. Seems like it's the same thing here. I bet if bonuses were underpaid, the soldiers would have been out of luck

It looks like a little bit of common sense has come through.

Carter suspends bonus clawbacks California National Guard members - CNNPolitics.com

Of course, it looks like Carter will still move forward with trying to recoup some bonuses, he is just getting everything in proper order to do so. He had also be making sure that these Guardsmen/women who have already paid the money back get it returned to them.

Ain't it just amaz'n what a little Sunshine will do?
TeamObama was taking a MAJOR Hit on this nonsense - so Carter issues a "suspend" order to shut down the bad publicity - that's not really common sense - that's FEAR.
