I have a family member who got really annoyed with me that I questioned some of Trump's attitudes. Later, she asked me who I was voting for, with obvious intent to lay into me if I didn't answer right.
I have a step-relative I've never discussed politics with, because truly I didn't know where she stood and didn't want to ruin our relationship. Finally I asked if she voted, and now know where she stands and we had a nice conversation. I don't think family should hold it against us if our views are different.
I know not to discuss anything like this with my sister. We're on opposite ends of the spectrum and I love her. My husband, he won't admit the guy has any problems at all and I know better than to talk with him about any of it. I don't have blinders on about any of them.
My Brother's Wife says I'm not welcome in their home, and I'm not to see my nephew unsupervised now. She literally thinks I'm a racist, sexist, homophobic hatemonger because I feel that Trump is less dangerous than Clinton, and I support more of his policies. In reality, I'm socially liberal, non-religious, and my ex was Hispanic LOL
My brother's wife is a complete zipperhead. She looks like one of those feminazi hags that they use to make memes on FB about how retarded liberals are. She sports her Northface Jacket, trendy glasses and stupid hipster haircut like a pro. She doesn't even have to open her big mouth before you to know exactly what she's all about. My poor brother is your classic nice guy doormat artsy guy that these vile things prey on. He has two kids with here, so I go out of my way to kiss her butt to make his life easier, but it doesn't really work. While she doesn't directly attack me or my GF, she snipes at us constantly. She's REALLY passive aggressive. My GF is really nice, so she just lets it go, but my sister got into it with my brother's wife so bad a few years ago that my brother and mom had to get in between them. My sister is one of the more laid back people you'll ever meet, so for someone to tick her off bad enough to get her to want to punch them. they would have to be pretty awful.
Yes, but I don't care. I have already voted for Trump and managed to convince several Dems to switch to Republican. Trump/Pence have a heart for this country! We need jobs, law & order, legal immigration and a restoration of American pride.

Not a Trump supporter, nor are most of my family and friends (although many also dislike Clinton as well,) although I've heard a few liberal friends express this sentiment. If these people aren't alt-right or something truly terrifying, I think these friends of mine need to chill out.
