There was 1 poll one time that showed it even had a chance, every other poll I have seen shows the support way lower, especially as the word has gotten out on how bad it really is.
I don't see how a single state can put together a single-payer system that can be successful. This one got a no from me on the ballot.
The idea has some merit, but it needs to be a national action, and it needs to take into account several of the other medical provider systems out there, like Tri-Care and VA, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
It can be done, but we don't seem to have the imagination, or the initiative, anymore.
I don't see it succeeding at all. It's too bad, but it seems like only the states that have no chance in hell of making it financially viable have been attempting something. It would really have to take a state with double the population of Colorado. That or they would have to spread the idea and convince adjacent states to join in.
Who in their right mind would support this? Only a leech could justify voting for this. Again, if you don't pay taxes you shouldn't be allowed to vote!!
No kidding. Who would vote for a 10% pay cut to pay for this? Even taking out what I currently pay for health care I'd be taking a big pay cut. Of course liberals are for it, they always think what someone else earns is only being held under government can spend it on someone else.
Massachusetts had to resort to group medical appointments when they tried to implement their version of health care for all. Didn't go over too well, as you can imagine...

Millions and millions of leeches currently support the billions and billions of dollars of tax breaks enjoyed by workers with employer-paid coverage.
Why should uninsured minimum wage workers be forced to subsidize insurance for middle class workers?
It's very unlikely to pass, so I'm not sure why it's even worth discussion in a general forum. Signed...A Coloradan
It can't without significant Federal supports. And then only an experiment that would not end well.
