How can you be a libertarian and support protectionist policies?
You can't. I've found many people, mostly socialist and people from the alt right love to call themselves libertarians. But they agree with 1 or 2 libertarian bulletpoints and the rest of their views are 80% statist

You need to provide some sort of example of what you are talking about. A vague accusation concerning some vague event doesn't really mean much.
Libertarians for Trump is a good example. Also many Libertarians believe in a strong military and a public police force. These are all things that take power out of he market and put it into the hangs of the state

I think once again you are confusing Anarchists and Libertarians. Libertarians are NOT against laws. They simply believe they should be as few and as unobtrusive as possible.
Voting can be used as a tool to use the state to impose your agenda on people. Which kind of violates the NAP. But manyou libertarians vote. It may be a necessary evil in bring us closers to Liberty
