Starting in 2015 and up to the present time the doomsday clock has creeped up. We are now closer to nuclear annihilation than we have been in the last 32 years, or 1984, according to The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists:

Doomsday Clock

Scary stuff, thoughts?

They were a bunch of tiny little brained folks who couldn't comprehend the process of negotiating from a position of power. While they were trying to scare the hell out of everyone on the planet, Reagan (and his very small team of merry bandits) were implementing plans to dismantle to SU piece by piece while simultaneously poising to make negotiations to change the world from the previous 40 years.

By the way nuclear winter was a farce and the thought of using thermonuclear devices for war is so antiquateted that it's not even part of the plan anymore. Now strategic nukes are considered far more effective and can be tailored to a desired effect much easier. Nuclear weapons changed the face of warfare from worldwide conflicts to regional conflicts with considerably less casualties.

we are a lot closer to this than most people think. and it's Dems/Obama pushing for it and not Trump. end of grand super-cycle convergence doesn't help matters.

Doomsday, for me, is whenever my wife forces me to come to a board game night at our neighbors house.

Bring it on!

Nuclear winter would be preferable than anything either candidate would bring for the next 4-8 years. Solves the problem of global warming, overpopulation, nuclear arms proliferation (via fewer nuclear arms than before), etc.

Who's with me?
