Democrats should ask Clinton to step aside - Chicago Tribune

The first crack appears in the leftist media's forcefield, in the home town paper of the sitting president no less.

"It's obvious the American political system is breaking down. It's been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they're properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill are both cause and effect.

FBI director James Comey's announcement about the renewed Clinton email investigation is the bombshell in the presidential campaign. That he announced this so close to Election Day should tell every thinking person that what the FBI is looking at is extremely serious.

This can't be about pervert Anthony Weiner and his reported desire for a teenage girl. But it can be about the laptop of Weiner's wife, Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and emails between her and Hillary. It comes after the FBI investigation in which Comey concluded Clinton had lied and been "reckless" with national secrets, but said he could not recommend prosecution.

So what should the Democrats do now?

Donald Trump's star vandalized on Hollywood Walk of Fame
If ruling Democrats hold themselves to the high moral standards they impose on the people they govern, they would follow a simple process:

They would demand that Mrs. Clinton step down, immediately, and let her vice presidential nominee, Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, stand in her place."

Thumbs down Wow. Now more newspapers will ask for Hillary to resign.

As expected, more major newspapers will also publicly seek Hillary to resign TV's democratic nomination. Hillary's initial response of " show me your hand" to the FBI went nowhere and democrats have finally had enough.

Only 8 days to go. Let it all play out.

There maybe some even bigger surprises this week.

It's fascinating to watch this unfold. I'm re-living '72-'73. We can only hope '74 will arrive within the week.

No big surprise that a columnist for the paper (which has historically leaned towards republican candidates from bottom to top of the ticket - the only democrat they ever endorsed for president is the current president) would write something like that.

As stated in their endorsements for 2016,
Quote:
"Taken together, Trump and Clinton have serious flaws that prevent us from offering our support to either of them. Still, come Nov. 8, tens of millions of Americans will make a draw that they consider beyond distasteful.

We choose not to do that. We would rather recommend a principled candidate for president — regardless of his or her prospects for victory — than suggest that voters cast ballots for such disappointing major-party candidates. This year neither major party presents a good option.

So the Chicago Tribune today endorses Libertarian Gary Johnson for president of the United States. Every American who casts a vote for him is standing for principles — and can be proud of that vote. Yes, proud of a candidate in 2016".
So, they are not for either of the major party candidates.

It's like a race to the finish line to see if she gets indited before or after the election.

To think, I've seen a president assassinated, a presidential candidate assassinated, a civil rights icon assassinated, a major religious leader assassinated, a president forced to resign, dozens of American's taken hostage, only to be released shortly after a new president is elected, who later was a victim of an assassination attempt, a president impeached, unsuccessfully, the nations first mixed race president be elected, not once, but twice, an attempt to take over the nations healthcare system, which now appears to be crumbling and now an about to be disgraced presidential candidate resign on the 'eve' of the election.

Wow, lot's more like all of the wasted lives over Vietnam, Iraq, Syria, the beginning of the fall of Western European society and culture.

And, much, much more. Amazing and fascinating.

Odds are something was found that removes any and all doubt about going forward with an obstruction of justice charge on top of everything else.
