Truly a memorable Series, and the most dramatic, tense, nail-biter 7th game I've ever seen. I'm not a sports fan, but this series was magnificent from first to last.
Congratulations to both fine teams; they gave us some really good baseball. And congratulations, Cubs. 108 years is a long time.
Congrats to the cubs. Great to win a world series but bad that Chicago has set a record for murders in 2016.

Congrat to the Cubs.
By this time next week, one of Illinois' hometown girl will become president.

My God in heaven. What the hell is wrong with you?? I really want to know. What? I honestly don't understand, what kind of demented thinking would make you make an historic when like this political? Can you let it go for one effing night? Ugh. Can the Cubs and the city of Chicago have this without jabs like this??

Well, it is the political forum, but I agree with you. And for the most part, the fans that went down to Wrigleyville didn't cause much of a ruckus. There were the isolated incidents (and idiots), as could be expected, but considering the amount of people there, it wasn't too bad.
Cool story I'd like to share -- my cousin took my 94 year old aunt to a Cubs game this year. Sat right behind one of the dugouts. It was the first time she'd been to Wrigley Field since 1945, the last time the Cubs were in the World Series. This year, she finally got to see a winner 71 years later.
Why is this in politics? No one cares about the Cubs outside of Chicago. Sorry, everyone's sports teams are irrelevant to everyone else outside of your locale.

I'm from the DC area and the Cubs winning the series has given me a nice lift. Almost as much as the Amazin' Mets of '69.
