My God in heaven. What the hell is wrong with you?? I really want to know. What? I honestly don't understand, what kind of demented thinking would make you make an historic when like this political? Can you let it go for one effing night? Ugh. Can the Cubs and the city of Chicago have this without jabs like this??
Some people are unwilling or unable to just embrace good news or anything that makes other people happy. Sad isn't?
Why is this in politics? No one cares about the Cubs outside of Chicago. Sorry, everyone's sports teams are irrelevant to everyone else outside of your locale.
We are in Northeastern Pennsylvania and we cared about the Cubs!! I also know tons of sports fans who cheer for other cities' teams for numerous reasons.
Did you not see the word 'franchise?' Yeah, they're champions this season, but overall, they're a loser franchise. Much like my Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
The Phillies franchise is so lame, that the Cubs (who went 108 years between titles), now have more titles than they do (3-2). And the Indians (68 year drought), have just as many (2).
The Marlins (only 24 seasons in existence), also have as many as the Phillies (2).
Lets hear it for the LOSERS!! Cubs, Eagles, Phillies and Indians!!! I love the underdogs!
Chicago Cubs Franchise
WINS 10711 Loses 10188 (1876 - 2016)

The Cubs thread in the Baseball forum is filled with people from all over the nation, extending their good wishes to the Cubs organization, players and fans.
Game 7 had more than 40 million viewers - the most watched baseball game in 25 years. To say nobody cares outside of Chicago and Cleveland indicates a complete lack of knowledge about the popularity of sports in this country.
