As do I. Commonalities they all share: Moderate to "non-practicing" muslims, educated, fluent in English, white collar professionals, some in inter-faith marriages (muslim/christian). In short, well-integrated.

My kids go to school with a lot of practicing Muslims, and they seem pretty well integrated there.

I'm going to Paris in December. I was last there in July 2015. There are some dirty parts, but most of the city is fine.

AKA a "7-11 owner American" One key difference is the preponderance of single males in Europe vs families here. Many family males of any faith strongly follow the Prime Directive: Raise your kids until their age of majority.
