California adopted strict “sanctuary city” policies limiting collaboration between local law enforcement and the federal government on immigration enforcement. The issue sparked national outrage when an undocumented immigrant for whom the agency had issued a detainer — declined by San Francisco County despite his long criminal history — shot and killed innocent bystander Kate Steinle after he got out of jail in July 2015.

Maybe not "county"; but def sanctuary cities which need to be against the law for illegal aliens.

It's not beneficial, but many in our country would rather see Americans continue to suffer than to vote out the people who repeatedly put the interests of American citizens last.

I voted for Obama twice. The first time, I had such high hopes that he would bring the country together. The second time, I was far less hopeful, but wanted to see if another four years might do the trick.

I don't vote based on party - I think people who do are damn fools. I blame everyone who does that for lowering the bar, so the quality of candidates has gotten worse and worse.

I also blame those who throw their votes away by voting third party candidates who will NEVER be elected. They think they're making a statement, and they are, but it's not the positive statement they'd like to think it is.

Our country has too many ills to elect a person who is going to continue the practices of our current administration. Poverty in urban areas and in small rural towns has led to an epidemic of crime, drug use and addiction, and HIV/AIDS. Something beyond giving people welfare must be done in order to put a stop to these tragic symptoms of a failed nation.

How has the influx of illegal aliens helped American citizens, many of whom haven't been able to get part time or full time jobs and would like to have them?

How have these sanctuary cities helped American citizens, many of whom have been victims of crimes committed against them, by multiple offenders?

How have *refugees* helped cities throughout Europe, that we're in such a hurry to bring those problems to our soil? How will doing so help American citizens?

How has Obamacare helped the majority of American citizens? Many getting large subsidies still cannot afford the monthly premium.

The Democrats have been consistent in implementing policies that put American citizens last.

How people cannot see this is mind blowing.

Are you also in denial that there are sanctuary cities? How does opposing sanctuary cities make one a right wing anti-"immigrant"?

Both democratic and republican administrations have created sanctuary cities and they have been around for decades. Local jurisdictions including some very conservative districts in Texas have decided that they are a benefit to law enforcement but continue on with "it's the democrats". DO you even have any idea of why they created sanctuary cities, impress me with some deep thought.
