Why we continue to allow this to happen is beyond me. And the deficits are nowhere close to being equal.

U.S. Completes 22 Straight Years of Merchandise Trade Deficits With Mexico

The United States ran a merchandise trade deficit of $5,243,300,000 with Mexico in September, according to newly released data from the U.S. Census Bureau.

That completes 22 straight years in which the United States has run monthly merchandise trade deficits with Mexico.

The last time the United States ran a merchandise trade surplus with Mexico was September 1994—when the U.S. ran a $4,700,000 bilateral surplus with its southern neighbor.

This is all you need to know.

In the 31 complete calendar years that have passed since then (1985 through 2015), the United States has run merchandise trade surpluses with Mexico in four years and deficits in 27 years.

Three of those years—1991,1992,1993—were before the North American Free Trade Agreement took effect. The fourth year the United States ran a merchandise trade deficit with Mexico—1994—was the first year NAFTA took effect.

It's the Giant Sucking Sound that Perot warned us about 22 years ago.

Most of those are millions made by:

Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, ADM, Ingredion, Cargill, Monsanto, DuPont, Coca Cola, Mc Donalds, Pepsi Cola, IBM, HP, fridgidaire, Del Monte, Clemente Jacks, And many and Many US Corporations....

Most of that money leave the country back into US to the hands of their Stock holders.

By the Way, Mexicans have a 48 hours week of labor, while US only 40. Do you want to compete? or you just want to default.

You can have people work mutliple shifts - so I don't work week per individual comes into play.

However, American workers are too expensive in the global marketplace for workers.

The government has increased wages, increased taxes, increase regulations - all which drive up the cost of doing business. If they want to stay competitive, they move, or the costs are too expensive and they go out of business.

The key point here is that The expensive "American Way of Life" is not sustainable for the working Class. Technological advances are now wide spread the globe, and no country has now a Monopoly on Technology.

I studied Chemical Engineeing with US Books, FOR FREE.

I even Made My Masters in Science For almost Free.

I am about to buy a smal appartment with 3 romos 700 sqft for 22,500USD. I already have 15,000 and I'm going to take a mortgage for another 7,500.

Yes we have a very inneficient corrupt Government. But I hardly would have what I have if I were living in USA. Most Mexicans who go there are mexicans who are Hardworkers who weren't able to reach Highschool or the mínimum qualification to enter the University.

In Mexico if You want to be a Doctor, you have to get a Highschool qualification mínimum of 90/100. and make a Very good College Board Test, and The Career is going to be for free.

I agree. We Americans make too much. The US must become a third world country with no labor, safety, or environmental regulations in order to attract businesses. Our prosperity as a nation is at stake.

A Bit of Socialism will allow best student to study best careers for free independently of their families income.
A Bit of Socialism will allow Government to Create a National Institute for Mortgages for the Workers
A Bit of Socialism will Stop the Huge amounts of money Spent in Military since you will take those funds to Education and housing.

Socialism is not Atheism, neither liberalism... It is a Catholic invention made by a British Saint, Saint Thomas More
