Running polls flipped the likelihood around 930pm that Hillary would lose. Maybe no supreme court justice selections for Hillary. Too old in 2020.

When Arizona and Michigan confirm their votes and trump gets 300 electoral votes, with full sweeps in both congressional houses, this is the most unified government since1920. This is a mandate.

Last I saw, Trump lost the popular vote. So far, it also looks like Trump collected a million fewer votes than Romney did in 2012. I wouldn't consider that a mandate for Trump.

No mandate. Trump got fewer votes than Romney and McCain. Not enough Democrats voted for Hillary. I hope no voter suppression efforts played a role in this election...

Less than half the population voted, Trump and Hillary roughly split the half, leaving less than a quarter of the population voting for either. mandate, huh?

No kidding. People are stupid. Trump won, congratulations, hardly a mandate. He squeaked one out when people said he couldn't, feels good for you and that is great. Try and not say stupid things though OP, mandate is a joke and he will be dealing with Congress.

The one good thing about all of this is people are going to be ready for a big change in 4 years, trump fatigue and Republican congress fatigue. I think the Republicans might of been better off letting Hillary win.

If you look at the Electoral College map for 2012 and 2016 you see how Trump managed to win while Romney did not.

It had been known all along this election would come down to several states including Florida (which Romney lost in 2012), Trump got many of them which is how he managed to win despite losing the popular vote. If Mr. Romney had managed to pick up the states Trump got he would have won.

Democrats were truly hoping large Hispanic/Latino populations in places like Florida and elsewhere would deliver for HC. That worked in Nevada, New York, CA and elsewhere, but not so much in the South, and Mid-West.

Or said another way, over three quarters of America did not vote for Trump (or Clinton for that matter)

The House is Gerrymandered beyond belief, and the Senate gives 2 Senators to states with less population than the county I live in, giving disproportionate GOP representation over empty space..all of this also giving disproportionate electoral votes to empty space as well....

.......but yes, the election and makeup of the congress constitutes a right wing mandate according to talk radio worshiping nuts.
