It's a win for the GOP, we now control the Senate and the House majority with a Republican elected President, plus 3 Supreme Court pics.
Those who clashed with Trump will now have to fall in line and get on board.
The Dems have 4 years to drum up an honest politician or two and to get back in touch with the American people. They've clearly fallen off a cliff in the last few years
Calling on Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Beyonce, Lebron James and Bruce Springsting isn't enough to camouflage what the people really want.
Well, you know... when you lack substance and integrity, try to dazzle them with BS.
Dems just need to figure out how to get their people to vote. If they show up, they win. This was the lowest turnout of the century so far. Somewhere maybe they can find another charismatic candidate who inspires rather than turns their voters off.
The Democratic party and their policies of putting America and the American people last has finally caught up with them. They insist on supporting every loon possible in Congress (Sheila Jackson Lee anyone) and nominate the most corrupt, most establishment, most "big money" candidate, perhaps in history. They call Americans deplorable, ignorant, attack Catholics as backwards and treat every minority as incompetent buffoons that need their help to survive. Heck, Hillary even refers to her supporters as stupid.
Just what lessons have been learned? What will happen to keep the DNC a viable party? Will they just fade away into obscurity? A sad footnote in history, one of America's most shameful? Will their policies of divisiveness and class warfare be rejected, and instead will they attempt to unify America?
Lets hope some lessons have been learned.
A big victory for the GOP, no doubt.
What the Dems need to do is to regain their appeal to the working class voters.
Clinton voter here. Not because I love her but because I think Trump is a dangerous narcissist. Let's hope he loves his grandchildren.
I firmly believe that Democrats lost because of illegal immigration and the view that free trade has hurt them with white working class voters. I am white collar but that is the background I come from, and the sentiment is here even in NY. Those are the only real outliers from previous campaigns. Trump leads by less than 20K votes in Michigan and won Wisconsin by 35K votes, Ohio by 300K. that was the election right there, and most of those voters are white working class people who've seen what they thought was the American Dream disappear, as they struggle. Those are all traditional Democrat voters, and they have pretty much jumped ship completely. So, the Democrats need to decide whether they are the party of blacks, latinos, illegal immigrants, and urban hipsters, and constantly playing identity politics, or something a little more broad reaching.
Also, one can only wonder which direction those states would have gone if Sanders was running against Trump. I think Florida would have still gone to Trump, but the midwest, not necessarily.
What will they do??? Protest.....Riot etc. That is what they will do. I bet tens of thousands of dirty millenials will be protesting nation wide in weeks to come, all demanding their free stuff. They will wine about how they will lose their free healthcare, how these politically incorrect people have won, how America is "intolerant" etc. Some of them will ask for "safe spaces" to contemplate this election. I expect they will not behave themselves, so I hope the authorities have lots of tear gas ready.
You are correct!
OAKLAND (KTVU) -- Hours after Donald Trump became president-elect, spontaneous protests erupted early Wednesday in Oakland as demonstrators sought to block freeways in the city.
A protestor was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound lanes of Highway 24 although it was not immediately clear what the extent of the victim's injuries were.
Up to 100 people were said to have gathered in downtown Oakland to protest the results. Many spectators had gathered on Telegraph Avenue and continue to march. BART has shut down the 12th street station in downtown Oakland as a result.
We are hearing reports of broken windows and cars on fire.

Let's see if they can manage that.
Yeah... NO:

I think both parties need to be on their toes because Trump broke the blue wall and Hillary outperformed in states she didn't campaign in- Arizona, Georgia (specifically metro Atlanta) and improved showing in Texas. So no one better get too cozy.
Lesson #2 is that you have to run a likeable candidate. Over the last 24 years Hillary has antagonized large chunks of the electorate and during this campaign she did not draw in millennial to offset those anyone but Clinton voters.

1st move to change their name to who they really are...the socialist party
Poor old obama has started smoking again.
Better to ask what will the repub party look like with the cadre of conservatives who are so exclusive and judgemental of new members while accomplishing zero, nothing and having their lunch eaten by dems. Both parties are in need of change.
Hope the government bureaucrats are resigning in droves.
