The democrats blocked a presidential appointment of a qualified individual until after his term expired for absolutely no reason. They didn't even move the nominee out of the senate judiciary committee, you need to brush up on your facts.
LOL twist it all you want the dems started this nonsense and now you got to suck it up and live with it, Pay back is a *****.
Just like Reid and the nuclear option, and Obama with his pen and phone.
At this point, Trump could nominate the furthest right person he can find and STILL get that person nominated thanks to Harry Reid. At this point, I say go for it. Democrats implemented the tool, and Republicans should use it.
Yes- The libs delivered the "keys to the kingdom" to Trump, unwittingly.
Let's thank Harry Reid and the liberals for being such idiots.
Gee..................... it sounded like such a good idea at the time!
These are going to be conservative, pro life and pro America first judges.
What does a pro-American judge look like?? We previously picked judges that were qualified are we changing the standard? Do we have any on the present court?
Still waiting for an example that compares to the Garland obstruction, I'm guessing it will be a while.
You won't get one, because there isn't one. Yes, Schumer SAID he would do it, but never got the chance.. So.. That's as close as it gets.
If Scalia died TODAY.. Then I would back and support that Obama shouldn't even make a nomination. He is officially a lame duck at this point. But.. This happened in February. Well before the election.
so.. Now that the precedence has been set.. Where is it set? No nominations in the last 6 months before an election? The last year? Two years?
I'm no fan of Obama.. But the job of congress is to consider the candidate and confirm or deny him. They did not do their job. They could have considered and rejected him.. That's perfectly fine. But not considering him was not the right way to go, and has now set a precedence that, much like Harry Reid's "nuclear option" will eventually come back to bite them in the ass.
If the senate wants to get bogged down in a fight right off the bat the best way to start is allowing Trump to take over what is rightfully Obama's appointment.
Why do you guys want to make the last couple months of the Obama Administration a bloodbath over a Court nominee?
