When a show is established by someone, they can still remain on the credits as Executive Producer even though they have nothing to do with the show at the current time.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case and someone is blowing it out of proportion.

Writing a book is a lot different than producing a TV show.....at least Obama was able to read a book....I doubt Trump remembers the last book he read that wasn't a picture book with big letters.
