Trump Campaigned Against Lobbyists. Now They

“This whole idea that he was an outsider and going to destroy the political establishment and drain the swamp were the lines of a con man, and guess what — he is being exposed as just that,” said Peter Wehner, who served in the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George Bush before becoming a speechwriter for George W. Bush. “He is failing the first test. And he should be held accountable for it.”

Those that voted for Trump EVERYWHERE SHOULD PUT THE HEAT ON HIM.

Just as Wehner said, the man needs to be held accountable. He needs to know he can't just say one thing and do another. Where is the accountability at this position?

This is one of the main reasons he got my vote, and two days in and the man is already disappointing me.

I sure hope there's a good reason to consult these tools.

I hope it's to tell them to F OFF!

Trump reportedly has 4000 positions to fill and 1000 require Senate Confirmation. I was a tad surprised that a percentage of these positions were not eliminated or perhaps that's premature.

The revolving door between government, lobbyists and think tanks persists.

Where exactly will most of these people come from if not the private sector, likely engaged in lobbying? Where will most former government employees land after the changing of the guard?

No President or Congress or governor knows what's what without lobbyists.

Where else are you going to source a Secretary of the Treasury if not from Wall Street?

It's always been a fine line and slippery slope.

It is sad to see, just as sad as when Obama put so many lobbyists in his office
