What, exactly, would be the alleged criminal conduct committed while in office that would warrant Trump's impeachment?
Because you don't get to impeach an elected official just because you feel like it.
Nobody is going to draft articles of impeachment where the primary charge is "We think he's a big racist meany! Waaaahhh!"
Then again...you have to be careful what you wish for. Impeachment of the president in this era is a metaphorical B-12 shot for his popularity polls. A few years ago, when Obama's popularity was circling the porcelain bowl like a floater, he was begging the Republicans to impeach him, because he knew his presidential popularity would spike if and when they did. "Impeach me...I really could use the popularity boost!", he would implore at almost every opportunity.
The GOP wisely saw through that pathetic gambit, however, and took no action, although Obama was asking them at every public appearance to impeach him every day for about two weeks. You couldn't get him to shut up about it, even though he was actually the only one who appeared to be seriously talking about it. Eventually he quit whining about not being impeached and moved on to some other scam he could work.
Did you notice which party controls both the House and the Senate?
...........and did you notice how many Republicans he has pissed off?Add in the fact that he is not a true republican but a democrat and lets not forget the cabinet he is about to bring in, Rudy ,Chris,Sarah and Newt to start,no.Impeach him pence is the New Pres a true right down the isle republican and with Ryan as his VP ,republicans can get whatever they want,anything at all.
On what grounds. Unlike Bill he has done nothing illegal.
