The democrats are now going through a time of self-reflection, and some of their journalists are able to analyze the nation's behavior in the election to a degree.

However, I haven't read one journalist who has not fallen short in that analysis.

The below article, by a generally above-average journalist, is a good example. It gets about 75% there but then predictably reverts to blaming the conservative base for their motivations.

Liberal journalists seem to be unable to admit the deeper faults of the Left, beyond "we misinterpreted things, didn't listen, and thus got the polling wrong":

President Trump: How America Got It So Wrong - Rolling Stone

I would like to take the liberal press and, whoever among their base who is still confused, that extra 25% to the finish line in terms of comprehending why America swung for Trump. Using examples is the best way to explain what happened.

Currently, the best example might be:

Ferguson, Missouri.

Make no mistake, that it would not take more than the events surrounding this single protracted event to swing the election.

Thus, conceding mistakes in how this event was handled, but still looking for a further pattern to justify the election, is non-productive.

That being said, a strong further pattern exists and much of Trump's base recognizes it. I could give protracted explanations on various events and conditions that would well exceed the attention span of anyone reading this post. Instead, I'll attempt to keep the explanation to somewhat fresh events.

What the far Left saw in Ferguson:

1. An unarmed black man unjustly shot dead by a white police officer.
2. A trial that should have vindicated their opinion of the event but did not.
3. Righteous rioting, looting, and burning in retaliation.
4. Righteous encouragement by the Press.
5. Righteous investigation and punishment by the DOJ and WH.

What the Right and much of the Center saw in Ferguson:

1. A violent criminal, who was questioned by a police officer and then who attempted to wrestle-away the officer's gun, was later shot dead by the police officer who was in good standing. Given the provable events, the officer's further account of the situation was enough to justify the shooting.

2. A trial outcome that vindicated the opinion of the Right that stemmed from the provable chain of events.

3. Press that stoked irrational outrage over a shooting that should not have been a scandal. This role of the press was the core driver behind the national division that the scandal of Ferguson is still in-part responsible for.

4. Resultant unjust and irrational rioting, burning, looting, and the murder of Zemir Begic with hammers. This murder was an actual unjust race-based murder of an innocent, sacrificed on the altar of a scandal that was entirely invented by the press and propped up by the DOJ and the WH.

5. Collusion between the press, the DOJ, and the WH to enact political pressure on police departments nationwide based on a single illegitimate scandal. Zemir Begic paid the ultimate price for this political theater, but received almost zero press coverage for his sacrifice.

In summary,

Ferguson is an example of the political dynamics that enabled the election of Donald Trump.

Minority race political agenda was enacted on a false scandal at the cost of the life of an actual innocent. Thus, it was enacted immorally.

Thus this racially oriented WH, DOJ, Press, and their base failed to enact their political agenda ethically. They failed to condemn misrule and disorder as they do now, which before resulted in murder.

The nation sees the misrule and the cost. It sees the racial agitation and the radicalization of the minority base upon no justifiable platform.

Donald Trump's election is widely a vote for order and justice in the face of disorder and injustice.

History knows the actual facts of Ferguson and other false scandals for racial political gain. It will not judge those on the side of the misapplication of rule well, in spite of anyone's misconception as to what has occurred and is occurring.

The Left won some small battles to lose this large battle. It cannot continue to base its rationalizations on misrule and disorder if it wishes to win-over the heart of the nation. As of now, it has a long, if not impossible, road back to basic credibility in terms of its method and means of rule.

The article should really be title,

"Why Trump won, the Democrats lost, and a dozen Republican candidates lost to a Democrat outsider".

Trump won because he is far different than any other republican the establishment put out there for decades. He is protectionist on free trade, supports minimum wage increases, does not believe insurance should be able to deny for pre-existing conditions, and he supports gay rights. Tell me another republican like that.

Let's just make this clear, it's the Republican Party that is changing, not the voters. They are as liberal as ever before.

It's very simple.

Hillary Clinton was voted president by the people, Donald Trump was chosen by the system.

No, too far left. Free college? Nothing is free, as they say.

But any other Dem, yes, he or she would have most likely beaten Trump.

Only if you believe in the never existent, never-to exist fantasy that who the residents of New York, California, and their corridors vote for should almost wholly decide who governs Wyoming, Alaska, Missouri, Montana, and the Dakotas.

It's never happened, never will happen, and never could happen if you actually want to keep all 50 states in the Union.

The Electoral College is a more modern form of democracy adapted to large unions.

The world is moving toward those unions, not away.

So, unless you wish to secede then your popular vote fantasies will always remain just that and are actually harkening to a time of greater division. The reality is that such fantasies are mere noise in the system.

That being said, I don't mind if CA and NY wants to secede. Perhaps Los Angeles and NYC can become city states like Singapore, and we can then test their tolerance for the illegals that they support as their territory is shrunk to city-size. Nothing will create a conservative like ridding a liberal of the resources of other people.

You keep vomiting this all over the board as though it means anything at all. The majority of voters did not vote for Clinton. The majority of voters voted for everyone BUT Clinton.

Clinton total vote: 62,013,985.

Combined total of Trump, Johnson, and Stein: 66,208,935.

More people *didn't* vote for Clinton than did. Let that sink in.
