So sad.

It's too bad the criminal didn't get shot and killed during the hunt.

California Deputy 'Executed,' Sheriff Says

Quote:
A California deputy was killed Sunday morning after being shot twice at point-blank range, and the suspect was in custody after a manhunt of several hours, authorities said.

At a news briefing, Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson described the killing of David Wallace, 53, as an "execution."

The suspect, identified as David Machado, 37, was captured Sunday afternoon following a long manhunt, the sheriff's office said Sunday afternoon.

What really gets me is why the sheriff says "executed" since his deputy was murdered.

I read about this yesterday and felt so bad for his family. This guy put the gun right up to his head and pulled the trigger. Criminals in California are getting bolder and using weapons a lot more than before... It's terrible. People passed Prop 57 and I am afraid it's going to get much worse before it gets better. I do not understand Jerry Brown's thinking...or for that matter, the people who voted for these crime props in California.

So many of these felons can not be rehabilitated. Trust me I know a little bit about that..
