So if ICE (Immigration and Custom Enforcement) finds out there is a factory operating in Chicago and a bunch of federal agents converge on the place to parse out the illegals, what's gonna happen?

Nothing at all the local authorities can do about that. Sanctuary cities usually prohibit local police from inquiring about immigration status and will not honor ICE detainers for nonviolent offenders who are in the country illegally. Sanctuary cities also typically prohibit officers from disclosing to ICE when such nonviolent offenders are to be released (if a detainer is refused). If ICE knew when such an individual was going to be released, they could arrest them just as they're being released from local custody. State or local authorities would be powerless to prevent that due to the supremacy clause in the constitution.

They have no solutions, just more of the same.
Solutions to what? We already have laws about illegal immigration and the penalties that apply to it. We already have ICE and detention centers. The federal government already has the right to deny funding to these cities. This sanctuary cities simply cannot function without federal dollars.

There is something seriously wrong with these people. There's nothing wrong with a healthy amount of legal immigration, but when they don't follow the rules and the grownups ignore the law it makes a mockery of our system and encourages all sorts of other criminal behavior
The people of Chicago will hopefully wise up one of these days.
