Neither Bush Senior, nor Clinton, Nor Bush Junior. not Obama gave amnesti to Illegal immigrants. And Trump went against them all, But... What if he gives thempapers? so he may sabe money from Deporting them and in stead he builds the Wall?
Trump won't do anything to illegals that hasn't already been done. Reagan did nothing, Bush Sr did nothing, Bush jr had both houses in congress on his side and he did nothing, Trump will do nothing and his fans will be ok with it.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80's and peaked in 2005/6 with the housing bubble.
Reagan did grant amnesty with the approval of Congress. At the same time, he promised to secure the borders and crack down on employment of undocumented workers. The latter parts did not happen. No one seemed to care much.
Clinton Admin created e- Verify as a voluntary pilot program. It was eventually adopted as a standards for Federal Employment. It has been left to the states. Most states ignored it.
Bush 2 tried to get amnesty do so twice and failed. He did succeed is building a partial wall along a portion of the border with serious gaps for those with political connections, a university, resorts, private country clubs, HOAs and some privately- owned land.
During the Obama Admin, a bipartisan Senate Committee tried to do so and the House blew it off.
No POTUS has the authority to do so. It requires an Act of Congress.

The amnesty was a deal gone bad. After amnesty was given, Congress was suppose to pass new laws securing the border which never happened. Reagan was duped into signing that law and then Congress backtracked on their part of the deal.
That's why now, people aren't going for that same old song and dance.

First, Democrats broke their word and blocked a wall.
Second, about a third of those given amnesty were illegals who came AFTER the amnesty and paid $600 each to employers to give them back-dated employment letters to get a green card under Reagan. FRAUD!

No one talks about the trucks that are allowed to come over our border since Nafta. They can hide in tractor trailers and go anywhere now that they passed legislation that a Mexican truck can go anywhere in the US.. it used to be a 50 mile radius from the Mexican border.
Some get over here in trucks. They only inspect 2% of the trucks. I don't know if they now have any kind of device that can detect them in the trucks.
Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals. The law also says Mexico can deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” violate Mexican law, are not “physically or mentally healthy” or lack the “necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents.
“This sounds like the kind of law that a rational nation would have to protect itself against illegal immigrants — that would stop and punish the very people who are violating the law,” said Rep. Steve King of Iowa, ranking Republican on the House Judiciary subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, refugees, border security and international law.
“Why would Mr. Calderon have any objections to an Arizona law that is less draconian than his own, one he has pledged to enforce?” Mr. King said.
Mexican Law says something and says the opposite in another law. that keeps lawyers working...
