The weather always changes, yesterday it was hot and today it's cold. The earth's climate was warmer 800,000 years ago and there was life and stuff.
You see, it's all a big left wing conspiracy designed to syphon our tax dolllars to fund the scientists' government research grants and their lifestyle with their BMW 4 Series.

Very true. I remember reading in the late 1970s that by the year 2000, the sea level may rise as much as 20 feet. Did not happen.

Global warming is B.S, but I don't think it's a hoax. They're just wrong, and too stubborn to admit it. It doesn't take a conspiracy for that to happen.
To recap, in 26 years the activities of mankind alone have changed the atmosphere by a factor of 15%.
And yet, the average atmospheric temperature of the Earth remains at 287K, just as it has since the end of the Little Ice Age circa 1850. Imagine that.
At any rate...I would consider the use of the figure of 15% misleading. Atmospheric CO2 concentrations have increased over the past 50 years from 350 ppm (0.035% of the atmosphere by volume) to 400 ppm (0.040% by volume). That is a change from 3.5/100ths of 1% to 4/100ths of 1% CO2 by volume. In short, CO2 is still an atmospheric trace gas...a very necessary one, to be sure, but a trace gas nonetheless.
Atmospheric CO2 concentrations are still quite low in comparison to earlier periods in geological history, many of which were colder than would be predicted by the CO2/temperature hypothesis. And despite the noted minimal increase in CO2 currently, average global temperatures are remarkably consistent since the end of the Little Ice Age, right around 287K or 56.9 deg F. (See chart attached below.)
If the CO2/temperature hypothesis were actually a functional scientific theory (i.e., one that has some predictive value), the temperature line and the CO2 line on the attached chart would both be moving upward more or less in tandem. Yet, they are not, for reasons the proponents of this hypothesis have yet to plausibly explain.
This is an old documentary that sums up the main arguments against the idea of man-made climate change. If you haven't seen this already, I'd recommend this to all the well-meaning Global warming believers. Just watch this with an open mind to understand why people don't buy into G.W rather than dismiss us as "deniers".
