Getting off of Arab oil is a matter of national security. It creates the types of entanglements that have us arming ISIS to fight proxy wars in Libya & Syria for the benefit of Saudi Arabia & Qatar.

That is a wonderful thought. Drain the oil of other countries, when prices are low. When prices go up, we resort back to our supply. If some other countries 'run out' of oil to sell, we would sell them ours: at a price.

I am rather pleased by this announcement about the Wolfcamp field, since my mother owns a nice royalty interest in Glasscock County, which appears to be right in the middle of the field. I also have a mineral interest, but it is southern Yoakum County (where no drilling has ever been successful), and I fear it is outside of any such field, regardless of the depth one goes to. I guess I will know in the future, if landmen start contacting me about selling, or leasing, my mineral interest.

The 'peak oil' argument has basically been abandoned in favor of the anti-carbon argument.

Well, by my calculations it's only about 7 months worth of current US natural gas usage (at least the 16 trillion cubic feet part). The oil is about 33 months worth of current US crude oil usage. Not sure about the natural gas liquids.

I just hope we don't burn up all of the natural gas for electricity production. I don't want to have to burn bituminous coal in my house to keep warm. Yuck!

No - we don't need to put any more money in their pocket.

And as we see, the earth seems to be producing oil on its own. We should have run out a long time ago according to the skeptics.

They try and lie about coal too and natural gas too. The evidence is overwhelming. The left just like to kill jobs and not replace them and that's why they're big losers in the elections and probably all of the elections for the next 8 years.

Big fat losers with a big "L" tattooed on their bearded hipster forehead. That's what the Dem party has become.
