I have been hearing reports of people being attacked for wearing pro Trump / Pro President Elect Hats, etc.

One example:
Man wearing Donald Trump 'Make America Great Again' hat choked, pinned on NYC subway 5 train | abc7ny.com

Has anyone here worn a Make America Great Again hat or some other type of Pro Trump attire?

A Trump bumper sticker?

What kind of reactions did you get if any? Especially if you are in a "Blue" area?

I live in Los Angeles and I feel like there would be a violent reaction. It's crazy if you think about it especially since Trump WILL be our Next President. Many people wore Pro Obama shirts around the election in Los Angeles last time and I never heard anything happen.

It's so strange that wearing a hat supporting the U.S President would be viewed so controversially.

I have not displayed anything favoring The Donald. I also have not attacked anyone doing so.

We are a Republic in order to eliminate violence from Politics.

I had bought a Trump Pence sign but didnt see even a single political sign this year in my neighborhood so I didn't put it up. Also I was hearing in news about Trump signs being stolen, people getting beaten up so I decided to keep my political insignia to myself. We live in a third world country now where we cannot express ourselves for the fear of being labeled & attacked by extremists. Usually its the far right extremists who attack you in backward countries but here it is the far left who are intolerant. Already lost few liberal friends for supporting Trump.

You have to take a good look at the "viewers." What we have today is radical liberals that think that their way is the only way and they alone have the right to occupy the Whitehouse. These people are the reason this country is in the condition it is today. Although Trump was not my Republican choice for President, I am hoping he can make the changes that we so desperately need in this country.

Hillary would have been more years of the same BS that is dragging us down,

Oh god no. I don't care who wins or loses, I am absolutely not going to put a bumper sticker on my car. I'm certainly not going to wear campaign-branded clothing.

Those people are just the worst. If that has to be the divide that destroys the country, so be it.

I was cut off yesterday on the freeway by a woman with a "Dukakis" bumper sticker.

Just the worst people.

Of course I'm not going to wear a Trump hat. The liberals have been agitated by the media and are currently experiencing a mass hysteria movement of violence and hatred. That's like putting a target on my head saying "come beat me bloody because I have differing opinions than you on sound fiscal policy and the media says I'm evil!"

No one actually thinks that. Not that exactly.

We also do not have liberals in the United States. Our most "liberal" candidates are still far right of what would be considered socialism or "leftist" ideology.

I'm glad you are at least on this message board. At least you can communicate with other people. Right now, you're communicating with a liberal urbanite, and she's trying to tell you that you're possessed of false preconceived notions.

I have a T shirt that has just the word "Deplorable" on the front.
Nothing overtly Trump related.

I wore it (in October) to Safeway here in Portland, Oregon and received a couple of dirty looks and eye-rolls, but nothing major.

I wore it around Greeley, Colorado during the first week in October and received several positive comments and was asked three times where I bought it.

I am back in Portland and have not worn it since the election.
I don't want to trigger anybody and end up in the news.

BTW, I have seen a TON of people here in Portland wearing Bernie Sanders T shirts, before and after the election.

Never have I seen anybody here wearing anything Hillary related.

I saw a guy wearing a Clinton/Gore t-shirt last summer in Santa Monica.

Only reason I remember that is because he asked me for money for a "hearty meal".

Not just a regular meal...a hearty one.

You know, the media is reporting a lot of Trump supporters being violently attacked. But google has no accounts of Obama supporters being attacked when he was elected. Also no accounts of people wearing safety pins being attacked. Also also, the last time there were riots due to an election, it was when Bush was elected.

Why are those on the left more violent?

I asked a family member who voted for Hillary why the left was so violent, and she said that they are merely reacting to what Trump says. That the things he says are so horrible that it drives them to violence.

But Bush wasn't lewd, and they were violent then too.

So why are those on the left more violent?
