Most people. When he ran the second time, Mondale one just one single state? It was a landslide because even the Democrat voters thought he was doing a good job.
I wasn't alive for Reagan, but most economic charts where the trend is BAD have their roots in the Reagan presidency. Income inequality, student loan debt, housing costs (particularly in the rental market), stagnant incomes, etc, all trace back to REAGAN.
He was also a big government spender, blowing up our debt. His job growth record is mediocre, especially considering every year of his presidency 300,000 of the jobs created were government jobs. Obama shrank the public job sector and matched Reagan in private sector job growth, doing so without demographic trends on his side like Reagan had.
Not to mention that crime exploded out of control during his presidency, he neglected the AIDS epidemic ravaging the gay community and economically depressed neighborhoods. Did you know that African American life expectancy actually DECLINED over his presidency, particularly for males?
All that, and several states, like Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana had economies that pretty much sucked his whole time as president.
30 freaking years ago. For the love of god. Hopefully Trump will finally break this horrible trend of lousy presidencies
Clinton was a pretty Good President. Lot of people say he was a great one despite the Lewinsky Scandal. There was a very strong Economy when Clinton was President which was faltered when George H.W. Bush was in Office.
Hard to believe someone can use a computer and yet not be able to spell his name.
Reagan was one thing that we haven't seen in a while. A leader. Someone that could address a nation and inspire an entire nation. To make us aspire to be better. JFK did that as well, but to a lesser extent. Both made policy mistakes. Reagan allowed social spending to increase at an unsustainable rate and allowed amnesty for millions of criminal aliens. JFK lead us to the Cuban Missile Crisis due to his perceived incompetence and weakness. To say nothing of fumbling our relationship with Cuba and beginning our military involvement in Viet Nam. In spite of those issues, both could lead and inspire. Unlike Mr. Umumumblubber, or the Bush family dynasty or Bubba the Rapist.

Yeah lets ignore the nuclear arms race he engaged with the Soviet Union and caused us to start referring to our national debt in the trillions, must've been those "welfare queens" he railed against. Obama was a unifier, Reagan allowed the crack and AIDS epidemics run through our country unabated.
Quite frankly I think most of the "greatest generation" and "baby boomers" have been terrible leaders. Especially Reagan who started this trickle down mess that hasn't worked at all over the 30 years it has been used. He also started the Republican tradition of cutting taxes and racking up debt while complaining about the bill when it arrived.
I think we've seen the worst of humanity and it is finally starting to get buried as we die off. I have more faith in the younger generations than It do from the checkered track record of the last 50 years.
