So Goldman Sachs will run the economy and Exxon will run our foreign policy.

The swamp has been fully drained.

Shepard Smith is reporting a Marco Rubio tweet reads,

Being a "friend of Vladimir" is not an attribute I am hoping for from SOS-MR

So, who is calling Tillerson a friend of Vladimir?

He is an oil man. He must deal with man. Does that make them 'friends"?

I say not.

I call this bad journalism and/or Marco is an idiot, more swamp to drain.

I don't know what makes me happier, the left crying over Trump picks, or the evident fact that they actually think these picks are stupid.

They are not friends. They don't go out hunting and fishing together, they don't go out drinking vodka together, they don't take vacations together.
They are business men who find ways of doing business which mutually benefits both of them. Wow, that's really bad.

Yes, his close ties to Russia is a two-edged sword. However, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he will not 'give away' the world to Russia influence. If Mr. Putin has a close relationship with Mr. Tillerson, and Mr. Tillerson speaks 'frankly' to him that the US will not tolerate Mr. Putin's desire to expand Russian influence in certain areas, Putin may well be disposed to listen and believe.

I admire that the man (born in Wichita Falls, Texas) rose from a lowly engineering position with Exxon to rise to the top after four decades of work. There is no doubt that he had experience in dealing with the heads of other countries.

In short, I am certainly willing to give Mr. Tillerson a chance. I certainly favor him over someone like Rudy Giuliani. Perhaps Mr. Tillerson will be an undiscovered jewel.

Or, maybe he will be a disaster. Time will tell.
Or maybe he will not be the pick or maybe he will be blocked in Congress. There are a few people in the Senate who really do not want him.

"..If just three Senate Republicans defect, Rex Tillerson’s expected nomination as secretary of state would be dead. Since he has not officially announced his selection, blowback from leading hawks on the right over the ExxonMobil CEO’s ties to Vladimir Putin could prompt Donald Trump to go another direction..."

Now another pond scum --Gary Cohn, Goldman Sachs prez, is another Trump appointee...

Trump excoriated Clinton for speaking at GS meetings---totally selling out to big finance--
But having a 3rd GS person in his cabal -- that's ok...

just boggles the mind...
Really letting the fox mind the hen house...
