I personally disagree. People should be allowed to say what they want. Neither left or right wing accounts should be shut down

Sure. All the major news outlets didn't do that at all.

Not at all. They are not a news organization, and they can make this call as they see fit. Private enterprise can vote with their $$$; they take the risk of losing accounts or support from the public but I bet they won't see much change. The vast majority of users don't want to see a bunch of radical crap.

Freedom of speech does not apply in a private business. If Twitter/Facebook/Snapchat/etc. does not want their platform used for certain types of speech, they have the legal ability to do so.

I deleted my Facebook due to all this politics. ONe of my friends can't stand politics. She knows the world is crazy thats why she just shuts it out. I informed her what was going since Trump got elected and she said thats gives her more reason not to watch the media and that politics are bullcrap.

Twitter won't be around much longer; the censorship will just hasten its demise. I can't believe people even care about it. Who has time to "follow" people and read their 140 character inanity?

The only way Twitter will survive is if they can sell advertising. I suspect few users would put up with an advertisement just to see some twit "tweet" something. They are losing 380,000,000 dollars on sales of 2,520,000,000 dollars. They have a - 11.5% operating margin. It is a very poorly managed business. Look at the headcount. You mean to tell me it takes 4,000 people to operate Twitter?

Twitter is a private entity so the company can do what it wants, but their uneven censoring is displaying their very clear bias. I think far too many of those alt-right sites and tweeters are a load of crap and stir up discontent, but the sites and tweeters on the other side of the pendelumn do also, and they aren't being censored.
