Standing on a stage, stating your views towards a candidate in front of an audience is not a conversation. A conversation is an exchange of ideas via the spoken word. Mike Pence was not allowed to voice his ideas or opinions. Pence, to his credit, stood and listened... smiled and moved on.

The cast of Hamilton should apologize. Not for their views, but for the inappropriate use of a forum.
You're just being silly - as if individuals normally have the opportunity to have a "conversation" with high-level elected officials.

Happy now? How does it feel to be right, but oh so wrong.
I'm right and you're wrong. Simply because my parameters that I set for my own comments don't fit into the definition that you wanted doesn't mean I'm "oh so wrong". It simply means you failed to understand what I said.

Pence handled it quite well, he stated to one of his kids "this is what democracy looks like" as he was walking out (according to him). Trump didn't handle it quite so well and he really has better things to do than this. Still I think the speech was wrong at the end of the play and Pence was out for a night with his family, the speech wasn't insulting but really enough already.

It's arrogant to suggest that only your ideas and views are always right and someone else's is always wrong.

That said, "White Nationalist"? Again using Democrat talking points destroys your credibility. It's becoming a trigger word to indicate blind allegiance to an political ideology.
It is TRUMP, Native New Yorker, Tweeting about this, not Pence who experienced it. I am sure Pence as a Politician, not a Celebrity, understands this more than Trump. While I didn't vote for them, I happen to think that Pence has far more class in his little finger than Trump does. I am a Native New Yorker and Trump's generation. For what it's worth, "Snowflake" me lived in Indiana for a time as a child. I understand both areas of the country.

Lighten up, Donald, and stop complaining on Twittter. It is unbecoming as a man, and President Elect, your age.

Agreed. I was quite impressed with Pence's response.

And for anyone who thinks the concerns expressed by the Cast have no basis in reality, see below

The sad thing is they did in fact have an opportunity to have a real conversation with a high level official and they squandered it. Most likely because that is not what they really wanted to do despite their stated objective of a conversation.

They had advance notice Pence was showing up.

They could have invited him on stage or back stage as they have invited other politicians and is in fact the tradition of broadway plays to invite VIP's backstage.

There they could have made their statement, had a conversation and twittered or otherwise publicized their conversation.

What they chose to do instead, is a huge fail.

Sure it is. The audience member was singled out, yes? Yes.

I ran across this guy who has a very sensible theory for what Trump tweeted. In his opinion, Trump is a rather brilliant Twitter troll. Looking at how things have played out, I think this guy might just have nailed it.

Too funny that rude people don't understand when he said he would leave it up to others to judge whether what the cast of Hamilton did was appropriate he was in effect telling people he didn't think it was appropriate.

Rude people never recognize that they are being rude.

And, well mannered people generally don't call other people on their bad manners.
