Most people in the country ARE to the left of center. Not progressive. But on the liberal side of the spectrum.
Unlike conservatives, liberals have a sense of humor. Conservatives often don't get it. If you think about most comedians, they are liberal. Very few conservative comedians.
BTW...though the tape is picking at liberals, it's actually picking at those who are sticking their heads in the sand instead of fighting back. Get it?
I fought back by casting my vote for Donald Trump in the election.
My guess is that you don't get it.
The entertainment industry is liberal because their viewers are mostly liberal and this helps their ratings/bottom line.
"A democracy can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury." Alexis de*Tocqueville
The joke is not on conservatives. It's on the liberals that ARE sticking their heads in the sand. The problem is their ideals and philosophy is bankrupting this nation.
SNL has just redeemed itself with this very well written piece of comedy. Even better would be if it became a regular feature on SNL.
SNL is left minded for sure. Is not all comedy for the matter. If only all Liberals would have a sense of humor. Do away with the SJW piety and faux martyrdom and hear more from those who can laugh at themselves as well as others in equal measure.

In your dreams. Most people in the country are clearly RIGHT of center as proven by the makeup of most governors offices, state Senators, state Representatives, US senators, US representatives and the 900+ state legislature seats, 12 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats LOST by democrats just since Obama was elected. It's a liberal fantasy that the country is left of center.
And yet Hillary won the popular vote by about 1.5 million votes. So no, we are not a "far right conservative nation", even if you'd love to fantasize as such.
And yet most people still voted against her. No one said the US was a "far right conservative nation" that's nothing more than yet another liberal fantasy - everything is extreme black or white to you people, isn't it? To anyone not completely blinded by smug self superiority the US is clearly a right of center country.
Nope I think the country is populist overall, but just split on the left and right variety.
Bernie and Trump are the most popular candidates, both populist. Hillary was pushed down our throats by the establishment.
