for those of you crying about how Left SNL was last week. I'll try to post a link to the skit called "The Bubble" once they post it on YT.

The wife & I were cracking up.

The opening was not that impressive, but I was laughing at them trying to guess for "The Donald"
THIS IS AWESOME!
What a beautiful time to be alive in America.

There's NO DOUBT SNL was influencing public opinion toward liberalism, as just is about every other entertainment media outlet.

I'll give them the bubble though. Pretty funny. Liberalism gives a lot of material for good comedy.

The most funny things are the things that are sad but true.

The skit is a sad irony, because it represents how progressives truly feel. Sure it's hilarious, but sadly it's also a reality.

They probably aren't too far off with 1bd apartments starting at $1M+ which is already the norm in Manhattan.
Loved "The Bubble; it's Brooklyn with a bubble on it" at the end.
Awesome!

I think that SNL has always (at least more often than not) been written by liberals or otherwise Left leaning comedic writers, but unlike the liberal mainstream, they have been more than willing to poke fun at "their side" (and often harshly critically so) when they can get a good laugh, or a good point, out of it.

SNL never struck me as being as uptight as the Left dominated entertainment industry in general. In fact SNL usually has at least one conservative writer/actor on their staff and several have gone on to some fame. Dennis Miller being the paragon of the phenomenon, but also actors such as Norm MacDonald, Davis Spade, Victoria Jackson, Adam Sandler, Colin Quinn, etc.

tl;dr SNL may lean well to the left, but it is not a snowflake.

I'm a lefty, and I thought this was hilarious. SNL has a long history of treating no viewpoint as off-limits for a little humor. Same with "South Park."

God help us when we all entirely lose the ability to laugh at ourselves.

SNL never made fun of Barack Obama like they have done for every other president during their run. And while I can't stand Ted Cruz, I thought their skits with him and his family were extremely mean spirited. It wasn't something he could watch with his family and laugh about like they did with Reagan and the Bushes. It was embarrassing and mean, like I wouldn't want my kids to ever see it when they grow up, mean.

Other than that, yeah, pretty funny.
