Barron is being used as a cover for Trump to stay in NY.
By whom?

I'm not buying that they will move there once school is over , if that happens
it will be due to outcry from the public.
This whole thing just is more bizarre as time goes on. and there is hardly
any good way to spin it.
If Barron has autism there are plenty of schools in DC that
can handle it.
Interesting post. In the "60 minutes" interview his daughter, Ivanka, said she had no plans to stay in Washington and would go back to New York to run the Trump businesses. Yet I saw the photo of her participating in a meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister. This is a direct conflict of interest. I wonder what kind of "trade deals" they were discussing!

So, yes, you make a good point.

That anyone thinks this meeting, which sounded like it was almost last minute and took place in Trump's home, was about policy, is ridiculous. Just as the phone calls Trump said he'd gotten from leaders all over the world, this was probably nothing more than an introduction and an informal, 'I look forward to working with you in the future.'

And who knows WHY she was there?

Partisanship has no place in a discussion about any minor child of a public figure - a child has no choice in his or her parents, and little if any influence over their actions.

(partisanship, and policy beliefs that aren't really party specific as well)

It's being done by Trump and his handlers so it will go
over better to the american people that Trump in fact will be in Ny
most of the time instead of the white house.

Exactly. Bottom line, the fact she WAS there raises red flags all over the place. I truly expect D. Trump to groom Jared, his son in law as his replacement as appointed president. The Trump family will never give up power now that they have it.

And in other red flag news, D. Trump just insulted the leaders of India by meeting with the Indian Business leaders before meeting officially with the leaders of that nation. A severe loss of face for the prime minister of India. But I expect Trump to insult and alienate most the leaders of the free world within the first year.

Exactly my point. Trump doesn't believe in following protocol. We can't simply overlook these things. "I'll do it my way" were song lyrics, not a line from an inauguration speech.

You can't be serious. Trump has proven over and over that he doesn't give a rat's behind what people think of him or his choices, and that he's not that great at listening to the advice of his handlers, yet you think he's going to share something so personal about his son in an effort to try and justify something?

You're not a parent, are you? NO parent would do this except for those who are unfit to parent in the first place.

This is social media run amok.

I didn't vote for Trump. I don't like him, and I think his plan to return to Trump Tower every weekend is incredibly selfish, both in terms of the resources it would require and in terms of the horrible inconvenience to his neighbors, particularly others living in the tower, who now have a target on their backs, should anyone decide a replay of 9/11 be fun.

However...

I wish with all my heart that every mother had the resources to protect her children like Melania is attempting to do. The fact that they do not doesn't mean I am going to fault her for protecting her own.

And before you start talking about how bratty and spoiled Barron is, I ask you to remember first that he is the product of his upbringing, and second, that you don't know *what* he is like, and third, that he is a child.

Are you really going to start picking on a 10-year-old kid?

Said this before early on in another thread; His Orangeness and the wife/family do not to expose themselves and or their private affairs to a bunch of staff they cannot personally control.

The WH is a gold fish bowl, and even in the private apartments there is domestic help who will get to see and hear everything about the Trumps should they move in. These are federal employees (union IIRC), who cannot be touched nor have to put up with any of the insanity DT calls normal behavior. Seeing what DT looks like first thing in the morning without his make-up and wig alone would be worth the price of admission for me! *LOL*

Then there is the larger issue that is going to need addressing; how is DT going to separate his business interests from being POTUS? He cannot do both and is finding out (probably to his dismay) just how difficult being POTUS actually is as a day to day job.

A majority of DT's "business" is based on bluster and brand image. His casino empire is swirling down the pan, ditto that university, both of which are causing legal woes that are likely to continue and probably grow.
