How many people got fired over making or posting pictures depicting George W Bush as a monkey?

The fact that political correctness has gotten this far out of hand is a huge part of why the Republicans won and the Democrats lost so massively this year.
I don't think it is trivial, the man took a job as someone to carry a badge and a gun to uphold the law. When someone like this makes such a racist claim, it makes people wonder if they are fit to wear that badge and be put in a position of authority.

Well, I don't trust anyone with a bigoted mentality to police people fairly.

Thank you for pointing this out. If a police officer posts something like that, I have to wonder if this officer's racial bias will carry over to the job.

Exactly, had this been something negative about Christians, I would expect the same results because that also puts the officer's bias into question.

Exactly. I am Trump supporter. In no way am I racist. I think its abhorrent that all of these Trump supporters are showing their racist side as soon as he wins, especially public servants. Just goes to show you that racial profiling is a real problem. Ridiculous.

Same for any other group. And this goes further to police brutality. Yes, we have people breaking the law. We also have people in the force who shouldn't be in the force. While most do their jobs honorably, this is what I'm seeing. Some people who have been recruited into some of the police forces in the USA weren't exactly police officer material. The job is to serve and protect, not enforce a police state. There are individuals who get recruited into the force, who have some unsavory attitudes, and in some cases, it transfers over to the job, affecting how they police the public.

A public employee has no right to "free speech", even in their free time. I agree with that rule. We don't want our public employees to be hateful. Public employees are paid by all taxpayers.

You don't have to be arrested for freedom of speech to be infringed. Any adverse action is infringement.

The reason we have public officers is so they will be protected from being myopic. Anyone who doesn't see Michelle Obama as a blabbing black racist is probably biased in another way. We saw this with BLM and La raza and other race rioters were allowed to attack people while the police stand by.
