Someone asked me for a signature, so I had to look it up. It is true, they are collecting signatures for the electorate to vote for Hillary instead of Trump, and since there is no legal mandate for them to vote for Trump, it is at least theoretically possible, they would do it.

I didn't sign, but apparently they have over 1.3 million signatures already.

Petition for electoral college coup against Trump gets more than 1 million signatures

Anger and discontent over President-elect Donald Trump’s victory is being channeled into an electoral college coup attempt. More than a million people have signed a petition urging electors from states Trump won to cast their votes instead for Hillary Clinton

As a Liberal I am glad Conservatives are not such cry babies. 1 million cry babies.

Being Liberal is becoming harder and harder each day.

Liberals are now against everything we claim to be for. It's pathetic.

The time to drop these protests is long past due, if they want to do something positive then start focusing towards the 2018 mid-term elections.

What a silly waste of time. It won't happen. And I voted for Hillary.

Even if it did happen, the GOP led house would block it. But it won't get that far...

Dear Liberal, Conservatives can cry, and have been crying just as loud, if not louder. I can't count how many petitions they have created to have Obama impeached, or obamacare overturned etc. Google it.

No, it won't happen, but I don't think there would be anything the Congress could do to stop it if they in fact decided to vote the other way.

I have yet to see a petition from Change.org actually accomplish anything.

It's a form of slactivism that is meaningless.
Anybody can draft up an online petition then blast it to their social media feeds and get a million signatures for pretty much anything as long as it doesn't take much effort.

Did you call the Tea Partiers disparaging names when they started their petitions? Other conservative groups? I didn't. People have been doing petitions for a very long time.

Name calling only makes things worse. Its funny the name-callers do their best to divide the nation, and then they complain about how divided we are, or even blame it on their favorite political opponent.
