DC is part of the Northeast. DC itself is part of the liberal northeast which stretches from DC to Boston and makes up the Northeast corridor. Boston has the top universities like MIT and Harvard, NYC being known for finance, than you have DC with federal politics. Philly is not known for putting out anything compared to DC Boston or NYC. DC is culturally linked to the Northeast which dominate much of the decision making, cultural output, finance, banking and investment not for the entire country but world. Where should DC move to? Maybe a more central city that is not far from East Coast or West Coast such as Chicago maybe.
Should we move the capitol to "neutral" Rednecksville, MO to satisfy the delusions of some conservatives just because we happen to have a GOPer in office for this particular presidency?
