Bingo. Read Thomas Sowell's Intellectuals and Society. Also Vision of the Anointed.

But, but intellectuals are morally superior. That's what liberals tell me.

You are correct, but please be fair. They have also brought us great literature, modern technology, and antibiotics.

My point? Intelligence and virtue operate independently.

I'll take an average intelligence friend and ally over a super-intelligent enemy any time.

No, I don't believe so. What I think is we grow weary of the so-called super-intelligent assuming that they know what is best for us.
I'm sorry, but some white collar type doesn't and can't begin to understand what blue collar people need. That is unless they have spent a life time working a blue collar job. That's why most college students don't get why the majority of us didn't sympathize with occupy wall street protests.

You do know a lot of us white collar folks started off in fast food, chicken processing plants, the military, and a wood mill. Don't paint us with such a broad stroke, you might get surprised.

Guess I'm not intelligent enough to figure out what this thread is about. The super-intelligent spend most of their time immersed in equations, contemplating the fundamental nature of the universe. They don't even care about politics, so why would anyone fear them politically?
