And the plot thickens...this is going to provide so much fodder as this pipeline issue becomes more and more dramatic. I am totally on the side of these native people and it will not look good for a POTUS if this gets ugly and he is financially invested in the outcome.
I'll bet he has invested money in a lot of possible ventures he thought might be profitable. So freaking what?
Is it illegal to make investments as a private citizen? Quick, toss Trump in prison, he made an investment as a private businessman.

Are you the president-elect? Will you have the potential to craft legislation and change environmental protection regulations?
I was unaware that President-elects, or even Presidents, waived their rights to invest for their future. Does this selective made up "rule" extend to Secretary of States?
The decision regarding the pipeline will more than likely end up with Trump, this will not help the decision. Just one of many conflicts of interest that will come up, but the president can't be held responsible.

Trump's 2016 federal disclosure forms show he owned between $15,000 and $50,000 in stock in Texas-based Energy Transfer Partners.
That's down from between $500,000 and $1m a year earlier.
Trump also owns between $100,000 and $250,000 in Phillips 66, which has a one-quarter share of Dakota Access.
He invested over a year ago, maybe more, you act like he just invest ten minutes ago.
Irrelevant when he invested--if he still owns, that's a problem--bigly.
What is it you don't get about conflict of interests?
This is what is going to trip him up, violate the Constitution and get him impeached, if he does not liquidate. Emoluments Clause.
"...At the time of his most recent disclosure statement in May, Trump owned $100,000 to $250,000 of stock in Phillips 66, which has a 25 percent stake in the Dakota Access project..."
