The day after Thanksgiving or the weekend after was when a lot of people put up the outside decorations. We did that when I was a kid. The inside was day to day and the tree was usually a week before Christmas. Real trees, until my parents finally bought a fake one back in the late '60s. My former radio station back in Massachusetts starts playing Christmas carols Nov 1st, 24/7!! I used to be sick of them, just like commercials have me sick of Christmas before it even gets here!!

You said "isn't it nice that we can say that again?", so clearly you have been under the impression you have not been allowed to say it, which is completely untrue.
No, not under that impression, just saying that to the guy because he was so happy saying it. I am also not happy that the word "gay" no longer means "happy". I am upset that a rainbow no longer just a rainbow. Many little things like that.

They are banned because of the potential for expensive litigation that often results from such displays on public property.

Would you accept Muslim religious displays in the town square during Ramadan?
