I could get behind an effort to redirect research funds away from studying man-made climate change to finding a way to prevent it.

Let's spend less money on studying the damage and more money on finding potential solutions. Why aren't we paying more scientists to develop batteries to store electricity from wind and solar, safer nuclear power, better insulation for houses, more efficient devices, etc?
