During the campaign, Trump had a hard time even spitting the word "Conservative" out. Now he's going to show his true colors which, apparently, is the rainbow flag.
Don't forget, this is a man who switched his party registration over and over again but spent more time as a Democrat.
Can't wait until he appoints that first Liberal judge.
uhm... there is a difference between democrats, liberals, conservatives, and republicans
many 'republicans' are also liberal
both bush's were quite liberal
Brzezinski (far left socialist/liberal) mentored jimmy carter, bush1, both Clintons, w bush, and obusha
trump might have some democratic tendencies, but a liberal he is not

Almost anyone would be better than Clinton and Obama!
Trump is his own man and he will not conform to anyone's pre-designed template of conservatism or liberalism.
The presidency is going to be a pot-luck stew. You will drive yourself crazy trying to put him in a political category.
Well, most people who've been around America for awhile know that there will NEVER be anything even remotely resembling an independent in the presidential office. Coming to the cabal of power in DC doesn't have any equal in the world of real estate development. Donald Trump, as president, is, and will always be a Republican first, and foremost. The party politics dynamic seems to be a hard thing for many to figure out, but it was once said that America has but one party, the business party, made up of two factions, the Democrats and the Republicans.
The notion of Trump's wealth, especially paltry when compared to real wealth, as a thing preventing him from"being bought" sounds good as a populist notion but---The truth isn't so simple as one would expect. Most politicians go from lower office to a path of party ascendancy, vetted along the way by measuring their ability to serve the party, as it serves the power. Trump probably believed he was in that power circle, but he will actually be serving the power not belonging to it.
Only an idiot would spend any amount of time "trying to put him in a political category," He's a Republican, and a servant to the ruling class. Yes, he isn't what he postured himself to be, and what politician in recent memory ever was, most have been unmitigated liars, Trump is no exception, but his followers, like Obama's, will be awaiting "the change," you know, that hope and change thing...
Actually it shows him currently to be more independent, he sees things pragmatically, not ideologically. If you are one of those people who is so blind to think anyone who is not a conservative is automatically a liberal, that's your problem. Binary thought like that is just dim-witted. There's more to it than 1s and 0s.
This is closest to who he is imo.
He sees a problem, he sees a solution or takes the one he likes best from those thrown out. He leaves it to others to flesh out the details and brief him on what he needs to know before he makes a decision. If the details require him to alter his position to get to a practical solution that's what he does. Lots of leaders/executives work like that.
