Dumbest

1. Donald J. Trump, President-elect and CEO of the Trump Organization: He's smart enough to win the presidency through the electoral college, but he has no basic concept of economics and is intellectually lazy when it comes to learning foreign policy. He has supported failed welfare state policies, protectionism, redistribution of wealth, and massive government spending for decades. The only reason he's rich is because he inherited money and was able to hire the best CPAs, lawyers, advisers etc. and he was able to receive corporate welfare and he went bankrupt four times. Trump even managed to sink casinos, the house is always supposed to win.

2. Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Senator from Massachusetts: The Massachusetts Senator wants everyone to think she's smart because she went to good schools, though she got into law school by lying and telling the admissions office she was native American. Elizabeth Warren supports Dodd-Frank, a $22 minimum wage, Obamacare, and free college tuition. While reasonable people can disagree on issues, it is clear that she doesn't grasp basic economics or common sense.

3. Ann Coulter: This big government Republican believes that the government should be involved in same-sex marriage and that those here illegally depress the wages of U.S. workers despite that not being so. While illegal immigration is bad for national security and fiscal reasons, it has a positive impact in certain industries and little impact in others. Coulter's nativist views make her one of the dumbest people in America today.

4. Rick Santorum, Former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania: Rick Santorum was dumb enough to believe that he had a chance at securing the GOP nomination for President this year. He is another big spending, big government Republican who claims he voted for No Child Left Behind because he was part of "the team" and he claims that states should not regulate abortion laws because we don't have 50 different set of policies, despite the founder's being clear about the intent of the 10th amendment. Santorum has also said some horrible things about homosexuals that also lack any logic.

5. Hillary Clinton, Former U.S. Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic Presidential Nominee: Putting aside for the moment that Hillary Clinton knows nothing about economics, she lost to Donald Trump. She ran for President and was a horrible candidate, yet she was given the gift of running against someone who was the male version of her, only dumber. Instead of trying to appeal to the Obama coalition, Clinton moved left and sought to appeal to Sanders supporters.

6. Bill DeBlasio, Mayor of New York City: When you negotiate with police unions and lead a city where crime is at historic lows thanks to the hard work of the police, attacking your police department and not supporting them is pretty dumb.

7. Tim Kaine, U.S. Senator from Virginia and 2016 Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee: Just watch the Vice Presidential Debate and you'll know what I mean

8. Sean Hannity: Mr. Hannity proved over the course of the past 18 months that he is not a deep thinker. He simply touts the party line, has no core convictions, and is not curious to learn reality.

9. Alex Jones: The nutty radio talk show host is a conspiracy theorist who claims to be a libertarian, yet supported authoritarian Donald Trump for President.

10. The entire Democratic Party: They nominated horrible candidates for congressional and senatorial seats and re-elected Nancy Pelosi as their leader in the House despite historic losses occurring under her watch. Did I mention they also lost a presidential election to Donald Trump?

Smartest

1. Ben Sasse, U.S. Senator from Nebraska: Senator Ben Sasse knows about public policy in a variety of different arenas. Senator Sasse has the unique ability to make complicated matters of constitutional laws and the role of government and it explain it in a way that everyone can understand. He has demonstrated a strong understanding of free markets, individual liberty, and history. He's an individual of great talent and he clearly is a deep thinker and rising star in American politics.

2. Paul Ryan, House Speaker: Paul Ryan has done what a generation of Republican leaders have failed to do. He's come up with reforms to medicare and medicaid that would save taxpayer dollars while preserving the life of those programs. His vast knowledge of an array of issues served him well on the campaign trail as the 2012 GOP nominee for Vice President, and continue to serve him well as House Speaker.

3. Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator from Texas: Few attorneys, let alone young ones, argue in front of the Supreme Court. Cruz is known for his intelligence in both the public policy and legal arenas. As a teenager, he spent countless hours traveling the State of Texas to advance constitutional principles. In the U.S. Senate, he fights for those same principles.

4. Justin Amash, Congressman from Michigan: Congressman Amash is the leading advocate in the House of Representatives for free markets, limited government, sound money, and the constitution. He doesn't speak in talking points, but rather discusses issues. Congressman Amash, like Former Congressman Ron Paul, is intellectually consistent as he stands up for liberty regardless of who's in power.

5. Ron Paul, Former Texas Congressman: Former Congressman Ron Paul understands more about monetary policy than almost anyone in the United States today. He also understands history and economics. Dr. Paul practiced medicine and as a member of Congress & Presidential Candidate spoke about issues and challenges others ignored.

6. Rand Paul, U.S. Senator from Kentucky: Like his father and Congressman Amash, Rand Paul fights for limited government, free markets, and constitutional government. Senator Paul has also demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of American foreign policy. Paul has also been a leader in fighting for criminal justice reform despite authoritarians in the GOP resisting.

7. Mike Lee, U.S. Senator from Utah: Like the Pauls and Amash, Utah's U.S. Senator stands up for free markets, limited government, and the constitution. He also had the judgement to oppose Donald Trump's presidential bid this November. He also is ideologically consistent like the Pauls and Congressman Amash.

8. Kellyanne Conway: Getting the dumbest man to ever be nominated for President by a major political party in history takes smarts and everyone underestimated Kellyanne Conway.

9. Megyn Kelly: The Fox News star has a deep understanding of politics, law, and pop culture. She has shown an intellectual ability that is rare in the age of 24/7 news coverage. There are men, such as President-elect Trump, who feel threatened by a smart, strong, independent woman like Megyn Kelly.

10. Marco Rubio, U.S. Senator from Florida: Agree or disagree with his politics, Marco Rubio understands the world and domestic affairs as well. With the possible exception of Jeb Bush, no one had more specific policy proposals than Marco Rubio during the 2016 primaries.

I disagree about Ann Coulter. She has made a lot of money trolling the media for about 20 years now. She is basically a moderate conservative who says extreme things for the lulz.

High intelligence does not automatically equal someone who will do what is best for our country.

The Atlantic, The Showboat and The Revel Hotel are closed too and NOT owned by Donald Trump. Have you ever visited Atlantic City? It has really gotten quite depressed looking lately. The concept of Atlantic City was built on a coastal boardwalk town in the 70's surrounded by not so savory neighborhoods. Not to mention, the recession hit and many people lost their jobs down there, not necessarily related to Trump Hotels. The economic depression in the U.S. affected ALL casinos and many layoffs occurred.

Atlantic City once had an East Coast monopoly on casino gambling. But casino revenues in New Jersey have fallen by more than half after peaking at $5.2 billion in 2006, when surrounding states, eager for tax revenue, began to allow gambling halls to open.
Analysts now regard the Northeast market as saturated, with about 30 casinos, racetrack slot parlors and tribal gambling operations between Washington and Maine — and more to come.

I won't even go into the recession that caused Las Vegas to lay off 20,000 workers. You are blaming Trump for something that hurt ALL casinos across the United States during the recession. That recession affected casino owners from bringing back full staff and I saw people that had worked at one hotel for 31 years get laid off. 31 Years!
