Saint Ronald did.

The Mulford Act was a 1967 California bill that repealed a law allowing public carrying of loaded firearms. Named after Republican assemblyman Don Mulford, the bill was crafted in response to members of the Black Panther Party who were conducting armed patrols of Oakland neighborhoods while they were conducting what would later be termed copwatching. They garnered national attention after the Black Panthers marched bearing arms upon the California State Capitol to protest the bill.

Republicans in California supported increased gun control. Governor Ronald Reagan was present when the protesters arrived and later commented that he saw "no reason why on the street today a citizen should be carrying loaded weapons" and that guns were a "ridiculous way to solve problems that have to be solved among people of good will." In a later press conference, Reagan added that the Mulford Act "would work no hardship on the honest citizen."

I guess I could advise you to "Google it" like a conservative asked for proof, but here:

The NRA also supported California’s Mulford Act of 1967, which had banned carrying loaded weapons in public in response to the Black Panther Party’s impromptu march on the State Capitol to protest gun control legislation on May 2, 1967.

A man named Vernon Dahmer used a shotgun to defend his family against a KKK firebomb attack in Mississippi. Dahmer died of smoke inhalation, but his family was saved.

It was only in the late 20th-early 21st century that black voters began to buy into the gun control malarkey mostly peddled by wealthy Democrats such as Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, Dianne Feinstein. All millionaires, and all able to afford layers of security to protect themselves from criminal violence. Hopefully the tide is turning back starting in 2016.

Anything that gets people to take more of an interest in their gun rights is a good thing. Even if it's minorities believing the outrageous lies from Democrats that Trump is a racist and is out to get them. If the fact that Trump got elected gives them more of an appreciation for their Second Amendment rights, it's still a net positive in the end.

Democrats, in their quest to erase the Second Amendment and win elections by fueling the flames of identity politics, have done more for the gun industry in the last few years than the NRA ever could have. Talk about your all time backfires.

Yep, it's a fact that I'm not convinced that all Republicans are in favor of minorities owning guns.

Thanks for asking.

All those minorities buying guns - and those are just the ones that bought them legally. Are you sure you're happy about that?
