That is called a failed campaign strategy for Hillary Clinton. Popular vote doesn't decide who's president. You've got to play by the rules of the game to win.

Trump obviously focused on the states with the most electoral votes, because that's the way the system is set up to elect the President.

Trump bragging that he won in a landslide makes me realize he has absolutely no clue how opposed over half the country is to him. I think Trump supporters know very well how opposed half the country is but they are so delighted by the win that they don't care and want to really push a narrative that implies a larger win that it was. This makes the other half even more adamant, the result being I think the last three weeks are just as damaging to the divide in this country as the past year has been.

I think Trump's "push it in your face" gloating tour will rip the divide more. He may be surprised at how often he is reminded that he lost the popular vote and how vocal half the country will be when he inevitably faces political challenges which every president does.

I love the fact that Hillary won the popular vote....in fact I wish she had won the popular vote by 10 million cuz I know this makes liberals absolutely miserable!!

What do you think will happen as this becomes more and more prevalent with fewer and fewer people telling a larger and larger number of people how to live their lives when that larger and larger number of people is paying more and more taxes to the benefit of that smaller number of people? California alone has the 6th largest GDP in the world and that does not include the rest of the west coast, all of which have a much stronger economy that is benefitting the smaller states.

Cali has about a half trillion shekels in unfunded liabilities. Doesn't sound too strong to me.

I voted for her and she lost under the system we have. That's all that matters. Whether I feel better or worse is irrelevant. I have to deal with what's real. And the reality is that she lost.
That's how I feel, too. It's over and done. Time to move on for everybody. That doesn't mean I'm happy about a Trump administration, just that I prefer to look forward.

Nothing, not even Hillary winning the election, would make those sad sacks feel better.

I never saw so much hub bub about the electoral college until this election. It's been around for 2 centuries and you pick now to be disappointed in the system?
