my ER's are in NYC and NY state has long gone way above and beyond minimum Medicaid requirements (basically Medicaid in NY pays for everything, and that all falls on the NY taxpayer).

I've noticed no difference in the trivial complaints that come through our doors. or the people who call an ambulance because our hospital is close to where they want to go so they just walk off from the ambulance bay after getting here.

Yes Medicaid gets a $300.00 bill, but what are they supposed to do; use a metrocard? Thats like $2.00!

If you have a $2500 deductible you avoid going at all costs to start with.

If the bill is $1250, you have to again worry the next time you get sick and the hospital gets squat.

What we were promised was affordable health care. What we got was trillions wasted in new wars and huge pay offs to the insurance and pharmaceutical lobby's.

I want what we were promised. Not what lobbyists were promised.

It's sort of hilarious when you cite the ObamaCare website itself to get numbers on ObamaCare. It's got a pretty graph and everything where the arrow points down, which is very impressive. It's almost as good as how the Labor Department will give me a pretty chart on how unemployment numbers are at historic lows while historic high numbers of people are unemployed. But at least they're formatted well.

Too many people have had their insurance cancelled because of that stupid law. It was giving doctors much more paperwork to do when they need to see their patients. There was even talk of fewer students going into medical school because of what was contained in that law. Can you imagine fewer doctors in twenty years? Frightening.

The (Un-)Affordable Care Act must be repealed. It's going to be in Trump's hands once he is inaugurated. A free market system is just way better.

Not when the average doctor earns 10 times more $ than the average worker overall, the free market will never make that affordable

That's interesting until you remember the hours they work, their training, and the fact that the liability in their profession is so high. In contrast, the liberal trial lawyers who sue them make even more than they do and have no liability, which drives up medical costs substantially.
